Yesterday saw the last race of our Winter series.
We raced in honour of Pirate Pete who passed away recently. Rest easy Pete.
As usual the event could not take place without our volunteers: a start crew, 3 patrol boat crews and the BBQ Crew back at the club after the event.
Thank you so much for your support.
It was a warm and sunny day with winds in the 15 to 20 knot range, and gusting over 30 knots at times.
In Div 3, Off-piste won the day
In Div 2 Nadia IV was just too good
And Div 1 White Knuckle Ride lived up to its name to win the day.
For the Sabres, Chris Boon in Naked (That’s the name of the boat, not his sailing attire) was too fast with 2 wins on scratch and 1st and 2nd on handicap.
Afterwards, we had a great BBQ in the Marina Bar with Big Jim and Lindsay doing the honours behind the hotplate.
Thank you to everyone who contributed.
