Next up from our Tasmania Football Club VFLW is our leading goal kicker Ava Read from Clarence Football Club

Ava had a brilliant season especially her back half of the year!! Ava started the year in defense and was doing well as a lock down defender. Then from round 10 was moved up forward where in the last 6 games she would kick 16 goals! Eventually finishing the season with 21 goals. Not only was she brilliant up forward, she still was able to get plenty of the ball and even put on plenty of tackles!

Brilliant debut season Ava! Can't wait to see what you can do next season.

Flashback to an incredible night celebrating our 2026 Clarence Football Club Youth Presentation Evening 🔴⚪

To our parents – thank you for every early morning, every car ride, every cheer from the sidelines, and every moment you’ve supported your kids and our club.

To our players – congratulations on a fantastic season. Winning is great, but it isn’t everything. What matters most is showing up, supporting each other, and playing with pride. The fact that we rolled out six Youth teams this year is something truly special, and every one of you contributed to that.

To our volunteers – coaches, team managers, first aid officers, runners, umpires, game‑day helpers… you are the heartbeat of Clarence. We simply couldn’t do this without you.

Congratulations again to all our teams, all our players, and all our families. We hope to see you back again next season (registrations opening soon)!

And a special congratulations to award winners!

❤️🤍 SIGNED FOR 2027 | WELCOME HOME, MACKENZIE WILLIAMS 🤍❤️

The Clarence Football Club is thrilled to announce its first signing for the 2027 season, with talented Tasmanian footballer Mackenzie Williams committing to the Roos ❤️🤍🦘

A product of the Tasmanian football pathway, Mackenzie spent three seasons with the Tasmania Devils in the Coates Talent League system, progressing through to the U18 program while establishing herself as one of the state's premier young talents.

Along the way, she earned selection in the Allies program for three consecutive years and achieved one of the highest honours available to a young footballer when she was selected in the 2024 AFL Academy All-Australian squad.

Following her junior career, Mackenzie took the next step in her football journey, relocating to Melbourne to challenge herself in an elite environment. Since then, she has continued her development at VFLW level while also spending time as a train-on player with St Kilda AFLW.

Now, we're incredibly excited to welcome Mackenzie back to Tasmania and into the Red & White for 2027.

At just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting football career, Mackenzie brings high-level experience, professionalism and talent to our Senior Women's program, and we can't wait to see her in a Clarence jumper.

❤️🤍 This signing reflects our commitment to continuing to build a strong and successful Women's program, while creating an environment where talented Tasmanian footballers can thrive.

And the exciting part?

This is only the beginning. 👀

Keep an eye on our socials throughout the off-season as we continue building towards 2027, with more player announcements and exciting club news still to come.

Please join us in welcoming Mackenzie Williams to the Clarence Football Club family! ❤️🤍🦘
