Australian Match R***e celebrates at the end of day 3 as the QLD Championships wrap up. 20 shots at 1100m... awaits tomorrow for the National titles.

Thanks to Magic Margy for the pics.

What's been happening at Raglan as day 3 of the Australian Match R***e Championships took to another 3x ranges? Bill Naismith holds a 2 point advantage over Brian Wingrove with David Rich in 3rd. F Open has John Weigel as a clear leader while Marty Kelly heads Mark Magill in F/TR.

Tomorrow sees a 20 shot match at 1100m to finish the Nationals.

The QLD Match R***e Championships saw the tally on the 1st day 900m, the 2nd day 1000m and today's 1100m. That means, Bill Naismith takes Match R***e, John Weigel takes F Open and Mark Magill takes F/TR by a single centre from Marty Kelly and 2 centres to Paul Puiatti. Great to see such close competition!

Good luck to all as competitors head to the final range of the National's at 1100m!

A lazy hazy Phoenix day - many enjoying some kind conditions across the range. 1000 yards followed by 800 yards. A great morning to have a chat. Time to get ready for Gundy!

Day 2 of Match R***e & F-Class Long Range Nationals has been done and won. Another great day at Raglan as competitors hit 1100m, 1000m then 900m.

Bill Naismith, Brian Wingrove and Peter Maher have made some inroads with Bill and Brian only a point behind David Rich after day 2 - and they both have great centre counts.

John Weigel took day 2 on centres from Les Rozsnyal and enjoys a 14 point lead in FO while Marty Kelly now has a 10 point lead in F/TR.

Head over to the results page - there's so much more - from the 900m, 1000m and 1100m Cross Aggregates to the QLD State Championships (running in conjunction with the nationals).

There’s just something about the beautiful Gundy OPM that puts a smile on ya dial. 😎

Since 2020, we’ve had a bit of everything thrown at us - COVID and bush social distancing (apparently anywhere 400km from home was perfectly acceptable 🤣), a bit of dust, a bit of mud, a fair bit of water, a bit of wind… then a LOT of wind and cold rain. 🌧️💨

Hell, one year, Day 2 even got cancelled because it was RAINING a river, and it was so cold it was turning to SNOW - and somehow, we still had the best time ever! 😂. There were a few that needed a tow job - free of course.

Then, there’s been more dust, plenty of heat, enough mirage to make you question your eyesight - and, of course… the flies and US. 😂

I’ve left my gear at Gundy and travelled home. I’ve taken a short-cut of 700km just to arrive at 11pm so I could compete the next day. I’ve taken THOUSANDS of photos of some of the best people I know, driven home and slept like a baby.

And would I do it again? Bloody oath.

Because let’s be honest, you can’t buy the joy that is the Gundy OPM. You just turn up, embrace whatever Mother Nature throws at you, have a laugh, chase a score, catch up with mates and enjoy the company.

That’s Gundy. Hopefully we’ll see you there! 🤠🎯 It has a way of getting under your skin… in the very best possible way.

Pssssssssst… apparently it’s supposed to be HOT this year. 🔥 But this is Gundy. Let’s wait and see, shall we? 😂🤠

Different ranges. Different goals. Different levels of experience.

But one thing brings us all together - the challenge to be better than we were yesterday. 💪🎯

So… where will YOU be this weekend? 👇
🔥 And let’s see just how much action is happening across Queensland!
