We were entertained this afternoon by Judy & Dale at our AFL afternoon! From team theme songs to classic favourites that always bring a smile, they kept everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.

Awards and trophies were also presented to our footy tipping competition winners, recognising their great efforts throughout the tipping season.

Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!

🌟 Tales For Connection 🌟

Last week, our residents were excited to welcome the wonderful team from Tails For Connection for a very special animal visit.

There was plenty of laughs, smiles and cuddles as residents spent the afternoon interacting with and holding the animals. The visit brought back many memories and brought so much joy to everyone that attended.

A big thank you to Erin and Rebecca from Tails For Connection for sharing their beautiful animals with us and helping create such a memorable experience for our residents.

We are already looking forward to your next visit!

We are writing to advise the community of an important change to Cooinda's Support at Home services.

After careful consideration, Cooinda has made the difficult decision to cease providing Support at Home services and assist clients to transition to alternative providers. No end date has been set at this time. We are committed to supporting every client to transition to an alternative provider. No client will be left without care or assistance.

We would like to reassure residents and families that this decision only relates to the Support at Home program.

Cooinda remains financially stable, operationally strong and fully committed to residential aged care, retirement living and accommodation services.

The decision has been made to strengthen the long-term sustainability of the organisation and ensure we can continue providing high-quality services to residents and families well into the future.

There will be no impact on residential aged care services, retirement living operations or the quality of care residents receive.

🌟 Welcome our new Clinical Care Coordinator & Educator – Glenys Bailey 🌟

Last month we welcomed Glenys Bailey to Cooinda as our new Clinical Care Coordinator & Educator.

Glenys is a Registered Nurse with 23 years of experience across public and private healthcare. She began her nursing career in aged care before expanding into acute care, perioperative services, education and clinical leadership, giving her a broad understanding of healthcare across a range of settings.

Throughout her career, Glenys has worked across clinical practice, leadership, workforce development and education. Her experience includes roles as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Learning and Development Manager, Perioperative Educator and Senior Nursing Teacher. She is passionate about supporting staff, fostering positive team cultures and helping deliver safe, high-quality care.

Glenys enjoys building strong professional relationships and working collaboratively with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams. She is committed to creating a supportive environment where residents receive person-centred care and staff feel valued, confident and empowered to provide the best care possible.

✨ Fun Friday & Pyjama Day! ✨

This week's Fun Friday was extra cosy as it was also Pyjama Day! Residents and staff enjoyed the day dressed in their favourite pyjamas, comfy dressing gowns and warm ugg boots.

The afternoon was made even more special with entertainment from Judy and Dale, who had everyone tapping their toes and singing along.

A big thank you to Judy and Dale for another wonderful afternoon of music and to everyone who embraced the spirit of Pyjama Day!

🌟 Congratulations Windy! 🌟

We are proud to congratulate Windy, one of our talented cooks at Cooinda on her recent success in culinary competitions.
After earning a Gold Medal at the regional competition, Windy went on to achieve another Gold Medal at the state competition, a wonderful recognition of her hard work, dedication and passion for cooking.

Returning to competition for the first time in several years, Windy challenged herself by creating an Indonesian inspired main course and dessert, showcasing both her creativity and technical skills.

Congratulations Windy on this fantastic achievement, Cooinda is very proud of you!
