What I DIDNT do:
• starve myself
• do bulk cardio
• put pressure on myself
What I DID do:
• ate what my body needed to, to recover and heal
• meditated and focused on my mindset
• patient with my hormones settling
• spoke with a psychologist
• EASEDDDDDD back into weights

This pregnancy was harder this time around. A C section recovery is hard. Waiting for your hormones to do their thing is hard. Being eager to “get back into it” is hard.
There’s no bouncing back. I’m not the same person I was before kids, nor do I want to be. But this time I had the knowledge, patience and was ultimately a LOT kinder to myself which personally, was my saving grace.
Hear that mums? I was KIND to myself. I filled my cup up so I could show up for my daughters the way they needed me to. It feels selfish, but it’s actually selfless.

Deep down I think you know what you’ve got to do. But it’s scary. Overwhelming. “I don’t have the time”. The things I DID do, don’t actually require a lot of time - just consistency.

Start small.
Start showing up for yourself.
Start filling your bone dry cup up.
Start living YOUR life and be the role model your kids need.

Picture this -
It’s January 31st. We are month into the year and you feel like your goals have already gone out the window. You start talking negatively and think you’ve already failed. You feel like it’s 2025 all over again.
But the difference is you’re aware of what’s happened. You’ve just slightly drifted away from where you wanted to be. You’re human, not a robot. Pause, realign, begin again.

You don’t need to reinvent yourself for 2026.

You need to stop abandoning the version of you that already knows better.

Growth isn’t about becoming someone new —
it’s about releasing what no longer fits who you already are.

Before the year ends, ask yourself:

What am I done carrying forward?

And what version of me is ready to lead now?

Gotta be in it for the long game 👊🏼👊🏼
Danielle and her partner are 2 of my online clients who signed up in August.
Her first cut she lost 8kg! Then we have been working hard to reverse diet and keep her at maintenance calories.
We haven’t taken any short cuts but instead worked in some flexible dieting along with education around foods.
Her second cut starts this week before their holiday. Let’s see what she can do! 👏🏻
