Cycling Without Age Bendigo

Our mantra is
"The right to wind in your hair."

Bendigo is a chapter of Cycling Without Age Australia: reconnecting people in aged care, rehab and disability with their community through a ride in a trishaw ridden by volunteer pilots. Cycling Without Age is a Not-for-profit volunteer organisation which was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2012 and has now spread worldwide to a total of 42 countries. The concept of Cycling Without Age is taking the elderly and people with disabilities for rides in Trishaws piloted by volunteers. Our mission is to connect them with their community and the environment, to experience living in a positive way, avoiding social isolation and remaining active whatever their age, ability or background.

Our pilots accounted for all of the 11 gnomes at the Botanic Gardens today and what an enjoyable activity for our passengers to participate in.
But, do you know who is who? So theres Dotti, Glow, Loddie, Ivy, Wattle, Petal, Skye, Twig, Scout, Dahlia, and Juniper.
What fun! 😁

We would like to sincerely thank City of Greater Bendigo for this initiative on behalf of our passengers, and let you know that you have made a difference in a very positive way! A big happy birthday to one of our pilots mum’s today! 🎂 We from CWAB hope you have a wonderful day. 🎉 Our pilot was able to take her mum for a ride around Lake Weeroona in the Trishaw yesterday as a special treat for her birthday! Just goes to show there are always new things to experience and we are glad we were able to help make your birthday a little bit more special! 🎈
