What a great moment for Cale Polsen today at Junior Country Week. You trained hard and consistently all winter as well as a few 1 on 1’s leading up to this week. So glad I was there to see it. Well done young lad!

For the past 6 weeks I was lucky enough to facilitate a junior program for boys and girls in the Loddon shire. Opportunities are very limited out there and thanks to a mountain of work by Prue Milgate and Claire Harrison and also support from Cricket Victoria over 40 kids aged from 5-16 got to play, learn and enjoy the game of cricket. We were even lucky enough to have new Melbourne Renegades listed player Jas Nevins come to one of the weeks. It was a huge success and there is a real possibility of an U/13 comp starting up in the future. Thanks also to Bridgewater cricket club for hosting the program.

It’s with great pleasure that we share an amazing achievement from one of the boys. A big congratulations to Cale Polsen for making the School Sports Victoria cricket team. He will be heading over to Adelaide in the first week of December to compete in the School Sports Australian championships. Cale was a regular attendee to the academy over the recent offseason and his hard work has paid off. Congrats and good luck from all who trained with you over the winter.

We wrapped up the first half of our winter program last Sunday and it was exam time! Parents joined in for the session and the boys had to demonstrate and verbalise what and why things they had learnt. We followed this with a net session where the boys got to ply their skills against their dads. The old boys were still pretty competitive from what I saw! And no injuries, just sore bodies!! Was a great and fun day. Can’t wait to get stuck into next term. 💪🏏🏏

Was fantastic to have Nathan Fitzpatrick as a guest coach today. The boys got some quality training in and got to learn and showcase their skills to one of the Northern Rivers talent coaches. A great afternoon.

Our academy is in full swing. So great for the boys to be able to train here. Unbelievable facilities right here in Bendigo.

We are two weeks away from kicking off our winter academy. Super excited to be at the new high performance centre at Catherine McAuley college. Amazing place for young players in the Bendigo region to train at. It’s not too late to register interest so get in touch and help kickstart your child’s next cricket season.

Great to be a part of celebrating 150 years since the first game of women’s cricket which took place in Bendigo. Girls cricket clinics for future stars & Raff even got to meet Catherine Fitzpatrick, former Australian fast bowler.
