The Broken Hill Mildura road remains closed and will be for some time yet, so we suggest an alternative route via Menindee and Pooncarie, that is if you dont mind getting some dust on your car.

This is a much shorter alternative than the one proposed by the RMS via Hay of all places, might as well go via Gawler if that is the case.

Perhaps you could also stop, stretch your legs and spend a little cash in these townships, they could do with a boost, they are struggling with the drought.
