I will continue to train and grow under their tutelage for as long as they are willing in fact proudly recently received my 4 th Degree With Them
It is solely to offer specific options for those that wish to either pursue the W.E.K.A.F. sports component as Described as Filipino Fencing.
So too the options of using open hand and Hammer fist upper and lower fore arm muscle strikes with its specific conditioning and specializations learnt over the last 32 years from various Grand Masters Is being categorized as Iron Arm Combat.

At last the weather whilst wet is now warming up. It has been to long between posts, so lets see if we can keep everyone informed. The school is still going strong with wins in Cebu by Podge(James) A real credit to his positive attitude and work ethic.
So too did Josh W stand on the podium well deserved medals in Cebu, proud of both of them.
Had some success today won gold senior mens single stick in forms traditional (sayaw)
Its the last week of training before Flying out to Hungary. I will be in Armour daily for the next 8 Days . Always fun to get the techniques /combinations flowing with the restrictions imposed by Armour. Endurance training for me is simply Rounds on bags and heavy sticks including Iron Bars to strengthen and moving and flow work. Adding Sayaw s ( forms this year to my Tournament campaign). I will be doing 40-56 yr old light/heavy or heavy, depending upon the weigh in on the day . I am sitting on 80.5 kg the cut off for light heavy weight is 79.6 kg .above is everyone. This includes 2 meter 120 kg lads, mmmmm. Looks like no pre tournament treats or beers for me. .I will compete in single stick double stick and long stick/staff, Single hand/weapon sayaw, and double hand Sayaw.maybe team s single stick as well. Iam way under prepared personally, however my students Im preparing are LOOKING GOOD.Very proud.
Training days at Bendigo Sat 9-12 as usual .However on the 22nd of March will continue on 9am-12 then 1-4pm. Emphasis will be on Knife and stick disarms both unarmed and armed All welcome.
Training today in long stick double stick single stick padded knife and padded stick all full contact plus forms both single and double stick . I suggest we train all variants so as to recognize the similarities in pattern flow and pick up points and transitions as well as angles. Even If you specialize later, it it will help create depth of insight into over view s and options in both tactics and strategies . Good Hunting

Iron bar work. Abanikos 100 each hand. fans 100 each hand .Curving strikes and sidewinder roll outs 3 sets 30 . Horizontal witiks 100 each hand. wrist roll bar and rope 3 sets up and down. This is our base set to build from for this week.
Due to Dumog training with resident Ju jitsu instructor at my school, I got careless and injured my lateral ligament in Right knee, when executing a takedown from sayaw 10. Training will temporarily have more close range sparring emphasis and bag work , until I recover my mobility.

With various refinements in our training to increase strength and speed an accuracy, it is easy to get caught up in techniques and tactics. Strategies. however are our end goal an what we wish to achieve. Tactic s are how we attempt to achieve that goal.
By maintaining a long term strategy which includes positive relationships with others around us before during and especially after any conflict or dealings/competition. Our tactics should be designed to achieve our end goal
