WASTCA Twenty20 Div 1 Round 1

02/10/2026

Let's get this show on the road, shall we?

The weather gods have blessed us with a magnificent October's weekend as Bentley heads up the Freeway for the first T20 fixture of the season.

Fresh faces, fresh starts, same lofty ambitions.

8 points and a song? Sounds like a plan.

A MESSAGE FROM THE SELECTION COMMITTEE;

Friends, Round One is fast approaching - weather permitting, we kick off with a Division 1 T20 on October 3rd!

Great to see the strong numbers at Wyong, particularly with the turf decks now giving us up to six available nets - now it's time to see that reflected in PlayHQ!

It only takes a few minutes, and will help us with formulating what we're anticipating will be three very competitive sides in the mixed format grades in the lead up to October 10th (with OD4's to follow on the 17th).

See you all this arvo - with a somewhat damp forecast next week, now's not the time to put the feet up!

22/09/2026

Seam bowlers, lick thine lips - It's turf training time.

16/09/2026

It's almost that time, friends...

Registrations are open now - all players will receive a Bentley playing cap as part of their membership fee, so team finesmasters will be on guard for other clubs' merchandise on game day!

Payment options include a new instalment option through PlayHQ directly to spread the cost of membership across the season.

New and returning players all welcome - the more, the merrier!

15/09/2026

Strong first hit out in the elements - good lights are critical in the early weeks!

Turf nets are almost ready to rumble and the redeveloped facilities are chugging along nicely.

If you haven't been down yet, you'll want to get amongst it soon; reckon it's a good year to be a Blue!

14/09/2026

The weather is warming, the days are getting longer and community football is practically done. Thanks to all those who made it to the indoor nets the last four weeks - now it's time for the real stuff!

Round One is mere weeks away for all grades, so make the most of the time we have to put your name in lights!

Early signs are very positive - let's make sure at least one captain leaves the first night of selections with a splitting headache!

Bring yourself, bring a friend, and bring a winning attitude - new and returning faces welcomed.

03/09/2026

Give Dad the gift he really wants this Sunday: an excuse to get out of the house and remind you exactly where you got your talent (or lack thereof)!

Round One is just over a month away - only two more sessions where we can guarantee the nets will be dry and the light will be safe and constant!

Third verse, same as the first two; 1:30 at Gosnells indoor nets.

Registrations are open now - maybe Dad will pay for both of you?

PS: Veterans teams are on the cards - age is no barrier to entry!
