We live in a world that makes you feel like you should be seeing results yesterday.
6 week programs. 12 week transformations. “Get stronger FAST.” “See results in 30 days.”
But what if you stopped rushing it?
Bernie’s OG deadlift was already hella strong and then she spent the next 5 YEARS training, learning, progressing, having good weeks, having s**t weeks, changing goals, getting older, getting stronger and simply continuing to lift.
That’s a pretty good reminder that strength doesn’t have to be a short-term goal.
Your strength doesn’t need to peak in 8 weeks. Your fitness doesn’t need to be “finished” by summer.
Give yourself the time to see what you’re actually capable of.
And if you’re feeling a little lost with where to start, what to do or how to actually make progress, send us a DM. We can help you make sense of it 🫶🏼

YOU’RE NOT TOO OLD 🐣🐔🐓
And you definitely don’t need to be a spring chicken!
But if you’re ready to stop chickening out…
Send us “SPRING CHICKEN” and we’ll help you take the first step. 🐣
She just decided to give a full bodyweight pull-up a go…
AND GOT ONE 😭
She just thought, “Why not give it a go?”
And suddenly she’s done something she might not have even thought was possible a little while ago.
Sometimes we spend so much time waiting until we’re “strong enough” or “ready enough” to try something.
But you genuinely never know until you try.
So maybe this is your sign to give the thing a go. You might surprise yourself !!!! 🙌🏼
What’s something you’ve been wanting to try?
Your fitness should fit into your life, not take over it.
You don’t need to train 5 days a week, hit every step, meal prep every meal and do everything perfectly to make progress.
Some weeks you’ll do more. Some weeks you’ll do less.
The goal is to find something that feels sustainable without adding another thing to your life to feel overwhelmed by.
Less pressure. More flexibility. Still making progress.

Sometimes progress is simply being willing to try the thing you’ve never done before!
You don’t have to know how to use every piece of equipment.
You don’t have to feel confident before you start.
And you definitely don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be willing to give it a go !!
Because you never know what might become your new favourite thing 😍

If this isn’t a win we don’t know what is 😮💨
We asked Mel what she could do now that she couldn’t 3 months ago and this was just too wholesome not to share 🥹🥹
It sounds so simple, but making time for yourself can be one of the hardest things to actually do.
Because there’s always something else that needs doing. Someone else who needs you. Another reason to push your own plans to tomorrow.
But you deserve time that’s just yours.
An hour to train.
A walk with your headphones in.
A coffee alone.
A hobby you love.
Whatever makes you feel a little more like yourself.
And sometimes, that’s the biggest change of all ♥️
If you’ve been struggling to make yourself a priority, click the link in our bio and reach out. You don’t have to figure it out on your own 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Our August Queen is none other than the amazing Cathy!! 🥹🙌🏼
She has been a huge part of the Lioness family for a very long time but lately she has been smashingggg goals that deserve a BIG celebration!!
While the mornings were dark, the weather was freezing and staying in bed became very convincing… the women of Lioness kept showing up.
For context, 76% of Australian women aged 18–64 do not complete strength training at least twice per week.
But through sickness, school drop-offs, demanding jobs, busy families, cold mornings and dark evenings, you continued to choose yourselves. Not perfectly. Not without hard weeks. But consistently enough to create something extraordinary together.
Every number represents a woman who walked through our doors and did something for herself.
A woman who became a little stronger.
A woman who kept a promise to herself.
A woman who trained even when motivation wasn’t there.
A woman who proved she was capable of more than she realised. Winter is usually the season when routines disappear.
Ours became stronger.
To every woman who contributed to these numbers: stop for a moment and let yourself be proud.
You didn’t just survive winter.
You lifted your way through it!
