🇦🇺🥋 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP! 🇵🇱🌍

And just like that, our journey at the 14th Cadet, Junior & U21 Karate World Championships in Bielsko-Biała, Poland has come to an end! ❤️💙

A massive congratulations to our four Kimekai athletes who had the honour of representing Australia on the world stage:

🇦🇺 Thomas Kearns — U21 Male Kumite -67kg
🇦🇺 Ryutaro Ito — Cadet Male Kata
🇦🇺 Lachie Nettle — Cadet Male Kumite -63kg
🇦🇺 Daniel Shlimak — Cadet Male Kumite -70kg

While the results didn’t go our way this time around, there is so much more to success than what appears on the scoreboard. 💪

To earn the opportunity to represent your country at a World Championships is an incredible achievement in itself.

It’s the result of years of dedication, countless hours on the tatami, sacrifices made and challenges overcome.

Very few athletes ever get the opportunity to compete at this level, and each of you has earned your place among the world’s best. 🌍🥋

Every match, every performance and every experience on the international stage is another opportunity to learn, grow and come back stronger. These are the moments that shape athletes, and the lessons taken from this competition will be invaluable moving forward. 🔥

We couldn’t be prouder of Thomas, Ryutaro, Lachie and Daniel. Not simply for their performances, but for the commitment, courage and determination it took to get here in the first place.

A huge thank you also goes out to the coaches, families, teammates and supporters who have helped these athletes throughout their journeys. Achievements like these are never accomplished alone. ❤️💙

The results may not have been what we hoped for, but the achievement of reaching the world stage is something nobody can ever take away from you.

Keep your heads held high, boys. You’ve represented your country, your club and yourselves with pride.

This isn’t the end of the journey. It’s another chapter in it. 👊🔥
