✨ An Inspiring Experience with Amy Harris ✨

What an absolute privilege it was to welcome the incredibly talented Amy Harris, former Principal Artist of The Australian Ballet, to KGD for a very special series of Ballet Masterclasses! 🩰

Our Junior and Senior dancers were fortunate to learn from Amy, gaining invaluable insight, expert guidance and inspiration from her wealth of knowledge and extraordinary career in the world of professional ballet.

A number of our lucky students also enjoyed the opportunity for one-on-one coaching with Amy, receiving personalised feedback, thoughtful corrections and valuable advice to further refine and elevate their technique and artistry.

Experiences like these are truly special, providing our dancers with opportunities to learn, grow and be inspired by some of the industry’s finest.

A heartfelt thank you to Amy AMY MADDEN (Harris) for so generously sharing her time, wisdom and expertise with our dancers. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the lasting inspiration you have left with our students. 🤍

What a wonderful way to round out another inspiring year of learning and growth at KGD!

✨CELEBRATING OUR CECCHETTI DANCERS ✨

One of the things we value so highly about our Cecchetti training at KGD is the incredible range of opportunities it provides our dancers throughout the year; from Medal Awards and scholarships to conventions, competitions, performance opportunities and so much more. 🩰

Today we’re celebrating some of our beautiful dancers who represented KGD at the prestigious Cecchetti Ballet Medal Finals earlier this year.

🌹 Rose Medal Finalist
Sophia Z

🥉 Bronze Medal Finalists
Owen L
Julia Z
Amelia K

🥈 Silver Medal Finalist
Maya T

Each of these dancers performed exquisitely, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication, discipline and countless hours of preparation that went into reaching this level.

Beyond the results themselves, opportunities like these are such an important part of a dancer’s development - giving students the chance to challenge themselves, perform alongside other talented young dancers and continue growing in confidence, artistry and technique.

We are so proud to see our KGD dancers embracing the many opportunities available to them through their Cecchetti training, and we can’t wait to see where their hard work takes them next. 🤍

A heartfelt thank you to Cecchetti Ballet Victoria and Cecchetti Ballet Australia for continuing to provide such wonderful opportunities and experiences for the next generation of dancers.

Congratulations Sophia, Owen, Julia, Amelia and Maya - all beautiful representatives of KGD. 🌹🩰✨

✨ BALLET TEACHERS’ WORKSHOP — SEMI-FINALISTS & FINALISTS ✨

We are incredibly proud to celebrate eight KGD dancers who were selected as Semi-Finalists for the prestigious Ballet Teachers’ Workshop, one of Victoria’s most highly regarded classical ballet competitions. 🩰

A huge congratulations to our 2026 Semi-Finalists:

🌸 Sophie Wicks
🌸 Wei Fang
🌸 Kyiasha Kodikara
🌸 Madhavi Naygar
🌸 Suheli Hettiarachi
🌸 Anna Zhukova
🌸 Julia Zhukova
🌸 Maya Tranter

To be selected to compete at this level is an exceptional achievement in itself. The standard of dancers represented at Ballet Teachers’ Workshop is incredibly high, and earning a place amongst such accomplished young classical dancers is something to be immensely proud of.

From our eight Semi-Finalists, we were then thrilled to have three KGD dancers selected to progress through to the Finals:

✨ Madhavi Naygar
✨ Suheli Hettiarachi
✨ Julia Zhukova

Recently these three beautiful dancers took to the stage at Darebin Arts Centre, representing KGD amongst some of Victoria’s finest young ballet dancers.

Regardless of results, simply earning the opportunity to stand on that stage at this level is a significant accomplishment and one that reflects the years of training, discipline, artistry and dedication behind each dancer.

We are so incredibly proud of all eight of our Semi-Finalists, and especially our three Finalists for progressing through such a highly competitive field.

What a wonderful representation of the strength of classical ballet training at KGD. 🤍🩰✨
