⚾ SCORING CLINIC WITH SHARKY! 📝

Ever watched a baseball game and wondered what all those numbers, symbols and marks in the scorebook mean? Or maybe you’ve been asked to score a game and thought, “Where do I even start?” 😅

We’ve got you covered!

Join Sharky for a practical Scoring Clinic designed to give our Cougars families, players and team managers the confidence and knowledge to score games throughout the season.

📝 What we’ll cover:
• Scoring fundamentals and terminology
• How to record plays correctly
• Understanding the flow of a game
• Common scoring situations
• Tips and tricks to make scoring easier

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who should come along?
• All junior parents
• Team managers
• Players who want to learn how to score
• Anyone interested in understanding the scorer’s role

Parents will be required to score games throughout the season, so this is the perfect opportunity to learn the fundamentals in a relaxed environment and ask questions before you’re sitting at the scorer’s table on game day!

🧢 COACHES EDUCATION NIGHT – WEDNESDAY 7 OCTOBER

Berwick City Cougars are excited to welcome Baseball Victoria Development Officer Ethan Epifanio for an evening focused on helping our coaches build engaging, effective and positive training environments.

This isn’t just a presentation — it’s a mix of practical discussion and an on-field workshop, giving coaches the opportunity to learn, participate and take ideas straight back to their teams.

⚾ What to expect:
• Coaching fundamentals and player development
• Creating engaging and positive training environments
• Training structure, drills and practical activities
• Communication and leadership
• Ideas and techniques you can use with your players immediately

📝 Bring a notepad to jot down ideas and takeaways.
🧤 Bring your glove and any equipment you use for drills — you’ll be getting involved on the field!

It's that time of year again where we need you to register, whether you are playing or volunteering on the sidelines.

Step 1) Club Registration: please fill in the form- yes even if you have done this before. This just means we have your most up to date details.
