06.09.26 | Women Pennant D South-East | Semi Final V Camberwell | 2-1 Loss

12 wins. 5 draws. 1 loss. 40 goals scored. Only 15 goals against.

But those numbers only tell a small part of this team’s story.

For those who may not know, 2026 was the first time CCHC entered a Women’s Pennant D team. After earning promotion into Pennant D, this group put their hearts and bodies on the line week after week, finishing an incredible 2nd on the ladder.

Their first final saw them draw with the top-of-the-table side before narrowly falling short in a shootout, giving them another opportunity in yesterday’s Semi-Final.

This team included 9 players under 18, 7 CCHC debutants, only 12 players who played more than 50% of the season in the side and an incredible 14 different goal scorers. A mixture of youth, experience, new faces and familiar ones all coming together as one team.

But more importantly, there was a whole lot of love, care and respect amongst this group 🤍

The final result may not have gone our way, but what a first season in Pennant D. A new team, a new challenge and a season to be incredibly proud of.

Super proud of this group and everything they achieved together. Hold those heads high, girls 🤍🏑

It was a season that saw a team grow and come together more with every passing week. A team where juniors stepped up and shone, where senior players continued to lead and perform, where everyone played their role.
A team that competed. A team that laughed. A team that backed each other. A team that made memories 🫶

Yesterday’s result may not have been the ending we wanted, but it certainly doesn’t define the season that came before it.
Don’t drop your heads — hold them high with pride for the season you’ve had and the hockey you’ve shown Victoria 🤍

For those who are new to the CCHC family, our AGM is the annual meeting where we reflect on the year hearing from senior committee members and, importantly, elect the committee who will help lead the club into 2027 🤍🏑

Our club simply wouldn’t operate without the incredible volunteers who give their time behind the scenes. Whether you’ve been around Casey for years or you’re relatively new to the club, there are plenty of ways to get involved and help shape what comes next! 🙌

Our Open B Men are GRAND FINAL bound, with KBH the only thing standing between them and the sweet, sweet taste of a premiership 🏆🤍

And what a season the boys have put together:

Tomorrow’s clash is set to be a good one. Both meetings with KBH this season have gone Casey’s way, but only just — 2-1 and 1-0 victories. But this is finals hockey… anything can happen! 😮‍💨
