CAN I JUST SAY STARTING MY TRAINING WEEK ON A SUNDAY HAS MADE MY LIFE FEEL INCREDIBLY MORE MANAGEABLE.

Look, yes it would be lovely to only have to worry about chilling out and getting the washing done on a Sunday BUT the stress squatting on a Sunday has taken off my shoulders, it sounds ridiculous but it’s been AMAZING.

I feel like I have so much extra time on my hands and able to manage the rest of my insane work week so much better😅

Sunday Squats
3x4 - 120,140,145kgs
1x3 - 150kgs (cause I was a little bitch)

V-Squat step downs
3x8/side 90kgs (10kgs up from last week)

Leg extensions
2x1RIR

Eccentric focused S/L hamstring curls
2x10/side

+ adductor & core work & stepsssss

So, if you’re struggling to manage your weeks and work and family and training and life feel like it’s swallowing you, it might be time to look at moving around your training days to make everything feel lighter 🫶🏻

Early morning/late night or low energy sessions? A pre-training snack can help you push through and keep you feeling fuelled and strong.

Keep it simple with easily digestible carbs, 30-60 mins before training. Here’s 3 of my absolute faves! (Honourable mention to LCM bars) 🙏🏻

Work. Weights. Friends. Family. Babies. Sourdough. Yoga. Movies. Exactly what weekends were made for ☀️

❌Stop chasing perfection.
✅Start stacking small wins each day.

Come see a little snippet of what the crew got up to this morning at STRENGTH.

Our lift for this week was deadlifts! And we had a fab time introducing some tempo deadlifts 😍 along with plenty of other movements that support not only processing this lift, but strength and movement across the board.

My promise for this class is not only a “no burpees” rule (even though the crew defeated me in 6v1 tug a war and my punishment was a burpee) but also a challenging class where we not only LIFT but LEARN.

STRENGTH is open to all EMF members and runs weekly on Tuesdays at 6am. Come join us next week! Squats are on the menu 🍑

Life feels like a sitcom. The plot’s questionable, I don’t really know what the hell I’m doing, and somehow I’m still hoping the show gets renewed for another season. 😇

Cheers to 31 laps around the sun ☀️ May the next 31 have less character building and more “for the plot” vibes
