Well that's a wrap for the 2026 International Golden Gloves, today we had three on, all in Finals.

Also a bit of history for the Club, with father (Karl) and son (Sonny) both competing and Karl our first ever Masters boxer.

First up we had Karl (first ever fight) get the Club of to a great start claiming 85kg Masters D division Gold🥇in a strong performance.

Next up it was Sunny's turn, but unfortunately he fell short in a tough bout to the current QLD champ and had to settle for Silver in 54kg Junior Open division🥈

Our final boxer for the day was JT and he capped of a great tournament for himself (3 Fights in 3 days) by taking out the Gold🥇in 75kg Youth Open division in a classy display.

Next week we see Jacob and JT leave as part of a QLD Select team for three bouts in Germany and then a couple weeks later Katelyn leaves for Samoa as part of the Australian team for the Oceania Championships and we wish them the best of luck

Wrap up of day 4 from the International Golden Gloves, with four of our guys on.

First up JJ got the ball rolling with a hard fought win to take the Gold 🥇in the 55kg Elite C division.

Next we saw Jacob put on a brilliant display stopping his game opponent in the 2nd round, taking Gold🥇 in the 55kg Elite open division.

Then we had a hiccup with our most inexperienced boxer Tane (first fight) going down to a good kid in the Final of the 48kg Schoolboy D division taking Silver. Great effort youngfella.

Our last boxer for the day, saw JT continue on his winning way taking out his 75kg Youth Open division Semi-Final and moving into the Final tomorrow.

Wrap up of Day 3 at the International Golden Gloves for our guys, we had 5 on with three in Finals, one in Semi-Final and one in Quarter Final.

First up we had Katelyn taking the Gold🥇capping of a great tournament for her.

Then Jacob kept the wins coming taking out his Semi-Final and advancing to the Final tomorrow.

Then Nigel got on the bandwagon and grabbed his own Gold🥇taking out a clear win

We had a hiccup when Tyson's Final was stopped by the doctor due to Tyson's nose bleeding, its a shame as the bout was building into a very close battle with Tyson narrowly taking the first round. So Tyson had to settle for Silver🥈

Our final bout for the day, saw JT get us back into the winning mode taking out a very comfortable win and advance to the Semi Finals tomorrow.

Tomorrow we have 4 on with 3 boxing for Gold and one a Semi.

Great start to the International Golden Gloves after two days of competition with Macca winning his straight Final yesterday and Roberto backing up his Semi-final win last night with a brilliant display in his Final today.🥇🥇
Overall we are 6-1 for the tournament with five competing tomorrow, three Finals (Nigel, Tyson & Katelyn) and two Semi-finals (Jacob & JT).

Win or Learn we are proud of all our boxers.

Great successfull trip to Adelaide over the last 3 days for the Australian Club Championships, with 4 Gold and 1 Silver out of 6 boxers. With a couple of very close losses go our way and could of been even better.
Very proud of the team the way they conducted themselves and boxed over the weekend.

Another big morning of sparring, with 8 Clubs and 55 boxers in attendance. Some very classy rounds were contested amongst a bevy of Australia's best up and coming boxers. Great sportsmanship by all👊👊

Day 2 of the Novice Titles done for us, an another great day with both our guys having great wins. Roberto winning his second bout for the tournament and moves into the Final tomorrow and Ollie having his first ever fight winning in a strong performance👊👊

Well another massive mornings sparring done and dusted, after 66 boxers and 11 Clubs attending last Saturday. We had 61 boxer and 11 clubs attend today.
