The biggest misconceptions people have when they see members of the tribe, is they think they are only a bunch of beasts who train hard, lift heavy weight and have all there s**t together.

What you don’t see,

Mums, dads, sons and daughters. Business owners and single parents. Parents who are juggling different things at once. People who have overcome insecurities. People who battle with anxiety and depression. People who are trying to find their place in the world and People who are Nuro spicy, that for the first time in their life, they feel seen and heard.

So yes, we are all those things, and we are just like you. If you were ever curious to find out, you’ll see we are a bunch of legends too 🙏🏾

A whole bunch of runners 🔥🔥

Shout out to some of the crew who ran yesterday here in Perth and in Melbourne. We had Caeley and Georgia running the Half Marathon at the Perth Running festival. We had Zac running the Full Marathon at the same event. All first timers and looking forward to hearing how you all went.

Lastly we had Ange running over in Melbourne in the Half Marathon event. Not her first time and I’m sure it won’t be her last.

It’s awesome seeing the crew tick those goals and doing the thing anyway 🤜🏾

Everyone is seeking something different when entering our doors. Our goal is to figure that out and help them get from A-B as efficiently as possible

For Caeley, we could tell early on what she wanted. To be pushed, to be coached and to be held accountable. She’s probably one of the most motivated members we have and easy to coach when she trusts the process and continues until.

We look forward to seeing how she goes with her first Half marathon this weekend 🔥🔥

Keep up the work homie 🤜🏾🤜🏾

Client highlight

Shout out to the big fella Sam I am, Mr Sam Speers . He’s been super consistent lately, hitting the weights room hard and having no excuses for Saturday sessions with bringing his kids to every class. We’re looking forward to seeing what he does come 1RM. Keep up the good work brother

Here’s a bit more about Sammy below 👇🏾

What got you started at The Tribe?
I had followed the tribe for a while through Jezza and Paul but was never fully ready to commit. Had maybe 10 different chats with Josh though-out the years. The winter challenge this year was the perfect time for me to jump on board and it’s been the best decision I’ve made.

What is your favourite class at The Tribe and why?
Throw Down on Saturday, being in a group with others, everyone getting after it working for each other pushing each other, I love it. I also bring my kids with me on Saturdays and they love it; it’s part of our routine now.

What’s your go-to post-workout meal or snack?
Ricky’s brisket or a Bacon and Egg butty

If you weren’t at the gym, where would we probably find you?
Dancing at home with the kids or doing Lego

What is your favourite lift?
Not Bulgarian Split Squats 🤢
I like Squats and Deadlifts

What song always gets you pumped for a workout?
Burn, Burn, Burn by Zach Bryan or We Got It by Metrik, SPY remix

What advice would you give to someone just starting out?
Step 1: Book your session and put in the work
Step 2: Keep repeating step 1 and Josh and Matt with take care of the rest, you won’t regret it

What keeps you showing up even on tough days?
My why which is my kids, makes it easy to show up knowing that it’s helping me keep up with them and set a good example

What is one random fact no one at the gym knows about you?
I am a softy; it doesn’t take much to get me emotional. Anything to do with my kids, my wife, reels of kids seeing their parents after being away in the army, movies or songs a lot really. But I lift heavy stuff and I am manly grrr.

“A rising tide lifts all boats”

The goal isn’t to be better than the person next to us, it’s to become better because of the people around us

The better we get, the community as a whole rises 🤜🏾

Our future selves will thank us for it 🙏🏾

Ricky is an example of why strength matters outside of the gym.

Lifting for everyday life is where’s it at and we all know how easy life gets the stronger and fitter we become. For dads, it’s also about our kids who are always watching.

Appreciate you legend, you’ve immersed yourself into our culture and community, looking forward to seeing what you do next 🤜🏾🤜🏾
