PPC Strength is Perths premiere powerlifting and strength training business

27/07/2026

You don’t need 5+ minutes of rest for every warm-up set you do for your SBD.

Stop wasting your time between sets scrolling social media or sitting around.

Super submaximal loads, such as the ones you’re likely doing in your first few warm-up sets, could almost completely forgo any rest between sets. Save the rest for your last couple of warm-up sets and your working sets, where it’s actually needed.

Skipping all that unnecessary rest will guarantee shorter gym sessions or give you enough time to get through those pesky accessories you never seem to have time for.

Want to make your training more efficient and actually get the most out of every session? Send us a DM and we’ll help you cater your training to meet your goals.

My favourite way to accumulate muscle and movement-specific volume to drive hypertrophy is by using low-skill, high-stability compound and isolation movements that can be pushed HARD.

Unfortunately most clients don’t actually push these movements hard enough.

Set yourself some fun goals with your accessories, hit them with some genuine intent and watch yourself finally progress.

A year in pictures.
What a year it’s been for PPC Strength

There were countless moments across this year’s competition calendar, but these are a few that really stood out:

Ricaldo jumped into Perth Cup with zero prep — literally signed up the week of the comp. While dropping over 10kg bodyweight, he still put up his biggest raw total to date on what was essentially an RPE 7 day.

Lena added 67.5kg to her total in just 9 months — nearly a 19% increase — and podiumed on what was arguably the biggest powerlifting stage Australia has seen in a long time.

Emma competed across three national federations this year — GPC, CAPO and APL. She won two of them on back-to-back weekends and finished second at the third.

Eddie had a huge year, competing three times between April and November. He added nearly 60kg to his squat, with his 320kg lift at CAPO Nationals being an absolute standout.

Hailey competed on back-to-back days at the Power Summit Invitational — placing 4th against some of the best open lifters in WA, then returning the next day to win overall with the exact same total.

Christian returned to the platform twice after a long 12 months plagued by injury, including major ankle surgery. A massive comeback after a significant setback.

Proud of the work.
Proud of the team.
Bring on 2026.

Annual PPC Strength Party 🎄🥂

Just good people, a big year behind us, and plenty of memories made along the way. This is a good reminder that PPC has always been about more than powerlifting — it’s about the people who show up week in, week out and create the community we love.

This one hits a little different knowing that next year we’ll be in our brand new PPC Strength venue opening in early 2026. Bigger space, bigger vision, same standards.

Thanks to everyone who continues to show up every week and make PPC Strength more than just a coaching brand.

Client Spotlight — Hailey Hill

After a short hiatus following her huge 2024 season where she podiumed at APA Nationals, Hailey returned to the platform this weekend and delivered an unreal performance: two full days of lifting back-to-back — something very few lifters could even fathom.

What made it even more impressive? She totalled 447.5kg on both days, just 7.5kg shy of her PR total while competing in her lightest weight class yet. That consistency earned her 4th place overall on the Invitational day and 1st place overall on the Open Tested day.

Since starting coaching in 2022, we’ve added nearly 100kg to Hailey’s total. And in true Hailey fashion, her famous line still stands strong:
“Just load the weight and I’ll squat it.”
A statement she’s backed up time and time again — including on attempts flirting with Australian records.

Hailey is the definition of a dream client. She shows up, she commits fully, and she performs. And the best part? There’s still so much more to come as we set our sights on APL Nationals 2026.

If you want to get seriously strong and see progress like Hailey, send us a DM and let’s get started.
