MID WEEK LONGARMS SAFETY TRAINING
The club has had requests to conduct a fi****ms safety training course midweek for those that, for a variety of reasons, are unable to attend our normal training on a Saturday afternoon.
Our first mid week training session will be Wed 7th October at 1pm. We will need to get sufficient interest to make mid week training work.

LONG ARMS SAFE HANDLING COURSE WED 7TH OCTOBER 2026
Start time: 1pm
Duration: 2.5hrs
Type: Theory and Practical (you will have hands on experience in loading, firing & rendering safe a fi***rm)
Cost: $50 Adult. $10 Junior (12-18yr old) Free for new SSAA NSW members who nominate Wagga as their host club AND Target as their genuine reason- Bring proof on day of training.
Prerequisites: Required pre reading here : Longarms Safety Course Booklet
Requirements: Photo ID
Enclosed footwear
Hearing and eye protection if you have any, if not it will be provided by the club
Notifications: Please send an email with your full name and mobile number to [email protected] if you intend on attending. This is desirable to ensure that we have enough instructors.

INFORMATION on COURSES: Please do not send emails asking questions that are already answered in the above information as they will not be replied to. Most of our volunteers work full time and need time to disconnect from both work and their volunteer duties.

NSW Fly State titles.

Some awesome prizes on offer.
SSAA Wagga has provided an IBI 6mm 1:8 twist HV stainless barrel.

With a huge thanks to Wagga Workwear and sporting agencies we have 10 boxes ot Sierra target bullets and 10 boxes of Berger target bullets.

Riverina Fi****ms have donated two 1kg tins of ADI 2208.

Workhorse Tooling has generously donated two custom Rimfire thickness measuring tools. These were a one off manufacturing run and are not available for general purpose.

Edit: Brasstrack are also donating some of their awesome ammo boxes.

Plus the usual State medals.

If you haven’t registered get on it because we are nearly fully booked.

With over $3K in prizes and lucky door prizes it should be a great event.

Cant wait to see you all next weekend!

Reloading Training Donation.
A huge thank you to our sponsor Wagga Workwear who has donated a Hornady LNL Classic Reloading Kit to the club to help with our newly created reloading training sessions for members and guests.

Matt from Wagga Workwear presented the kit to the President Frank C, Secretary Greg C and Reloading trainer John F yesterday.

John is making a custom reloading bench (pictures soon) to get us underway.

ADA Vs SSAA.
The annual Australian Deer Association (ADA) versus Sporting Shooters Assoc of Australia (SSAA) match will occur next Sunday the 16th.
1pm start with a BBQ lunch provided.
Minimum .243 Calibre
5 shots offhand at 25m
5 shots standing/supported at 50m.

Centerfire Field and Lever Action competition this Sunday 9th August.

10am start for Centerfire. Lever action will commence shortly after Centerfire.

Casual friendly competition for all. If you've never done a field comp, this is a great way to start!
