🎉⚽💡 HUGE NEWS FOR MOOROONDU FOOTBALL CLUB! 💡⚽🎉
We are incredibly proud to announce that Mooroondu Sports & Recreation Club has been successful in securing significant funding for the upgrade of competition standard lighting on Fields 2 and 3!
This is a huge win for Mooroondu Football Club and our entire community, and we are honoured to be one of 72 projects selected in the latest round of the Queensland Government’s Games On! Program.
The upgrade of Fields 2 and 3 will provide improved lighting for evening training and competition, giving our Club greater capacity to grow and creating more opportunities for our players, teams and wider sporting community.
👏 A massive thank you to our Executive Committee and everyone involved in preparing and supporting the grant application. A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes to get to this point, and it is fantastic to see that hard work rewarded.
We cannot wait to see Fields 2 and 3 lit up and what this exciting project will mean for the future of our Club. We will provide more details in the following weeks.
What a win for Mooroondu! 💙🤍

The Crisafulli Government is building on the infrastructure legacy of the 2032 Games and beyond - supporting a range of local sports including netball, football, cricket and gymnastics, with new and upgraded changerooms, courts, grandstands, lighting and more.
119 projects are being delivered under the first round of our Games On! program, with 40 projects now complete and 79 currently underway.
We promised we'd deliver this investment into grassroots sports before the election, and it’s exactly what we're delivering.
