KUKOMA RESERVE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!*

FULL-TIME: Kukoma Reserve 46 - 39 Dyna Queens

The young Diamonds did it. Kukoma Diamonds Reserve are the Mukuru U21 National Cup Champions 2026.

After a tournament full of battles, composure, and heart, Kukoma closed out the final in style at Blantyre Sports Arena with a 7-goal win over Dyna Queens.

It was never going to be easy. This team earned it every step of the way. They opened with a dominant 65-33 win over Lydia Academy, then showed true grit to survive a 47-47 thriller against Mzimba Queens that went to extra time. They followed that with a composed 62-58 semi-final victory over Mimba, before saving their best for last.

In the final, Kukoma were clinical. The attack was sharp, the defense was relentless, and when the pressure came, the girls stood tall. 46-39 over a tough Dyna Queens side that beat Young Eagles 37-34 to get here.

From the first whistle to the last, this Kukoma Reserve team played like champions. Pace, teamwork, discipline, and belief. They fought for each other, they trusted the process, and they finished the job.

One trophy. One team. One dream realized.

DIAMONDS IN THE FINALS OF MUKURU

Kukoma Diamonds Reserve are through to the Mukuru U21 National Finals after beating Mzimba 62-58 at Blantyre Sports Arena.

It was a tough day for the young Diamonds. They first survived a 47-47 thriller against Mzimba Queens that went to extra minutes, before showing composure to close out Mzimba with a 4-goal win. Their shooting was sharp and the defense stood strong when it mattered.

They will now face Dyna Queens in the final, after Dyna edged Young Eagles 37-34 in the other semi-final.

One more game to go. After the wins over Lydia Academy, Mzimba Queens and Mzimba, Kukoma Reserve are 60 minutes away from the Mukuru U21 crown. Let’s go Diamonds 💎
