Lily works two jobs. When she first came to me, she had very little gym experience, and the gym wasn’t somewhere she particularly wanted to be.

We started by teaching her how to lift and giving her training and food guidelines she could put into practice. Learning the basics and building from there.

She now trains in our semi-private sessions at TSN HQ four mornings a week. That works for Lily. Your training week might look different, and that’s fine.

Her bodyweight has gone from 52.4 kg to 56.8 kg. Weight loss wasn’t the goal. As her coach, I’ve watched her become stronger, more confident and develop a routine she enjoys. The scales only show one part of that.

I’m incredibly proud of her. She’s learned how to train, made it part of her week and kept putting her plan into practice. It doesn’t have to be fancy. It needs to fit your life well enough that you can keep doing it.

If you’d like help getting started, message COACHING and we’ll talk about what could work for you.

The scales miss most of Lily’s story.

Lily started coaching with very little gym experience. She wanted a routine, to be more active and to feel more confident training. Weight loss wasn’t the goal.

Her body weight went from 52.4 kg to 56.8 kg. That number doesn’t tell you about the strength she’s built, the confidence she’s gained or the routine she now enjoys.

In her own words: “What’s made this experience even more special is that it hasn’t been about weight loss for me… it’s been about becoming fitter, stronger, and more active.”

That’s why I want to know what you’re actually working towards before deciding how we’ll measure progress. The scale can be useful. It just isn’t the whole assessment.

Message COACHING to talk about a plan that fits your life.

Travel does not need to mean perfect tracking, and it does not need to mean abandoning the goal.

The clients who manage it best have a few principles they understand and can apply wherever they are:

✅ Keep daily movement high and use a short hotel-gym session when practical.

✅ Build restaurant meals around protein and vegetables before adding more calorie-dense choices.

✅ Decide on alcohol before the event instead of making the decision repeatedly in the moment.

✅ Adjust meal frequency only when it suits the individual’s hunger, preferences and plan.

The more you understand, the more freedom you have.

Save this for your next work trip or holiday.

You don’t need life to become quiet. You need a plan that can adjust when it isn’t.

There will always be projects, deadlines, travel and family commitments. If your health plan only works when those pressures disappear, the stop-start cycle is almost guaranteed.

A sustainable plan has a normal-week version and a pressure-week version.

The aim is not perfection. It is to keep the wheels on, maintain momentum and avoid starting over every time life changes.

The plan can change without the goal disappearing.

A chaotic week doesn’t have to derail your progress.

When I coach business owners and busy professionals, we plan for deadlines, long hours and family commitments as well as the weeks when everything runs smoothly.

Before a demanding week, decide three things:

1. Your food fallback
Have suitable prepared or frozen meals ready so dinner doesn’t depend on how much energy you have left.

2. Your training minimum
Choose steps and sessions that are realistic for that week. A shorter session can still have a place in your plan.

3. One recovery habit
Protect a realistic baseline for sleep, downtime or managing stress.

For that week, the bare minimum IS the plan. Anything above it is a bonus.

Some weeks it’s a big step. Others, a shuffle. Having a smaller plan helps stop one disrupted week from becoming two.

Save this before your next chaotic week.

The scales haven’t moved this week. Do you need to eat less or do more?

Before I change a client’s plan, I want to understand how their week actually went.

Have we followed the plan consistently? If that’s been difficult, what’s getting in the way? Work, family commitments and a plan that’s hard to fit into your day all deserve a conversation.

Then we look at progress over time, alongside things like training performance, sleep, hunger and recovery. One weigh-in only tells us so much.

Sometimes we need to adjust food or activity. Sometimes we need to make the plan easier to follow. And when progress is where we want it, we might leave things exactly as they are.

That’s why two clients with the same goal can need different advice at check-in.

You should understand why your plan is changing, and why it sometimes stays the same.

If you’d like that support with your own training and nutrition, send me a message about TSN coaching.

Not everyone needs weekly accountability.

Some people need their nutrition and training properly personalised and structured, then they’re more than capable of getting on with it themselves.

Others know they do better with weekly accountability, education and someone helping them make decisions along the way.

That’s really the difference between TSN Coaching Base and Coaching Plus.

Base may suit you if you understand the fundamentals, can execute independently and mainly need a personalised game plan built around your goals, lifestyle and training environment.

Plus may be the better starting point if you keep stopping and starting, struggle to maintain results, know there are gaps in your knowledge, or simply value having someone in your corner each week.

And Plus doesn’t have to mean Plus forever.

For many people, the goal is to fill the gaps, build confidence and eventually become less reliant on weekly coaching, not more reliant on it.

That’s a big part of what good coaching should do.

If you’re a busy professional or business owner and you’re unsure how much support you actually need, DM me “COACHING”.

I’ll help you work out which option makes sense… even if that means Base is all you need.

Know someone who keeps starting over or isn’t sure what level of coaching they need? Send this to them.

More support doesn’t automatically mean better coaching.

The better question is: what level of support do you actually need right now?

Coaching Base is for someone who wants their training and nutrition properly personalised around their goals, lifestyle and experience, but is comfortable taking that structure and running with it more independently.

Coaching Plus starts with the same personalised foundation, but adds weekly accountability, education, feedback and a higher level of coaching support along the way.

Neither is the “better” option.

The right option is the one that fits what you need right now.

And if you’re on the Sunshine Coast and want in-person training, 1-on-1 or semi-private PT can be added separately to either Base or Plus.

Not sure which one fits you?

DM me “COACHING” or simply book in for a FREE consultation and I’ll help you work it out. (Link in bio)

Losing the weight is only one part of the process.

A lot of people know how to diet.

What they haven’t necessarily been taught is what comes next.

How to gradually increase food again.
How to manage normal weight fluctuations.
How to enjoy weekends, restaurants, holidays and busy periods without feeling like everything has fallen apart.

That’s what a good maintenance phase is really about.

It’s not “going off the diet.”

It’s learning how to take the result you’ve worked for and actually integrate it into your normal life.

The goal should be to lose it, learn from the process, maintain it, and move forward.

If you’re tired of the lose → regain → restart cycle and want help building something you can actually keep, DM me “MAINTAIN” of book in for a FREE consultation.

The best gift isn’t under the tree.
It’s your health. Your mind. Your body.
You can’t trade it — and it won’t grow without effort.

Health and fitness isn’t a 6-week fix — it’s a gift that keeps giving. 🎄💪
