❄️🚲 Winter has arrived… but Aqua Cycling Victoria keeps you warmer than these bikes! 💦🔥 🚲❄️

Looking at these poor bikes buried under snow, we’re pretty grateful our bikes stay in warm water instead! 😄

A quick reminder that Aqua Cycling Victoria will be taking a 4-week winter pause from Monday 22 June to Sunday 19 July while I take a short break.

📅 That means we still have 3 weeks left in the current term!

Over the next few weeks, please let me know if you would like to:

✅ Change your regular day or time for Term 3
✅ Add an extra weekly session
✅ Let me know about any holidays or absences so we can organise make-up classes
✅ Confirm your place for next term (cancelling is not an option 😉)

To help me plan Term 3 and make sure everyone gets the sessions they want, please get in touch as soon as possible.

💪 Don’t worry, I won’t leave you completely without exercise while I’m away! I’ll have some fitness work available to keep you moving during the break.

📖 Over the next 3 weeks, please start collecting your Winter Fitness Brochure, which will include ideas, exercises and challenges to keep you active until we’re back in the pool.

This week’s ACV participant! Who doesn’t know our beautiful Sally 😉 Always pushing herself 100% during the class, and if you are looking for someone very knowledgeable about Melbourne city, she is definitely your girl ❤️❤️

1. What changes have you noticed since starting Aquacycle?
Fitter, stronger, improved balance, walk taller with shoulders back & have muscle definition

Healthier & happier

My commitment & the improvements I’ve made

4. What keeps you coming back each week?
Very simple, it makes me happy & I feel good

5. What would you say to someone who is thinking of trying Aqua Cycling?
Just give it a go. Nothing ventured, nothing gained

6. What’s the best thing about training in a group?
Gives you greater motivation, it’s social & provides a sense of belonging

7. What motivates you on days you don’t feel like exercising?
I know lIl feel better afterwards & it’s good for physical & mental well being. Plus I’ve paid for the class!

8. What made you try?
Aqua Cycling in the first place
I wanted a new activity. It’s water based & you can set your own pace

9. One word to describe
Aqua Cycling?
Fun

10. How do you feel after a session?
Energized

11. Is there anything you’d like to add?
My pelvic floor (after gynae surgery & a specialist check) is really strong

Last night and this morning’s classes were FULL… and honestly, I couldn’t be prouder ❤️

Cold weather, rain, dark mornings, dark evenings… and still you all showed up, worked hard and absolutely smashed the sessions 💦🔥

The workouts were tough, but the energy in the pool was incredible. That’s what consistency looks like 👏

As a coach, seeing everyone turn up, push themselves and support each other even during Melbourne winter makes me so proud. This community is something special 🥹

Thank you for bringing the motivation, the laughs and the effort every single session.

Winter won’t stop us 💪🏼🩵💙

❄️ Melbourne winter is definitely here… cold mornings, rainy days and the temptation to stay under the blanket a little longer 😅

But the good news? At Aqua Cycling Victoria, our centres are warm, welcoming and ready for you 💦🔥

And for our evening participants… there’s honestly nothing better than finishing a cold winter day with a warm water workout ✨
A great way to move, switch off from the day and leave feeling refreshed and energised.

Winter is actually one of the most important times to stay consistent with movement. Keeping active helps with:
✨ Energy levels
✨ Strength & fitness
✨ Motivation & routine
✨ Mental wellbeing during the colder months

You never regret coming to a session… but you’ll always feel better after it 🙌

Remember: consistency beats perfection every time. Even one session can change your whole day

Marika has been with us since almost day one, and what a character she is! She loves her sport, loves going out, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard her say, “I’m not doing anything today.” You’re such a great example of embracing life and enjoying it to the fullest

1. What changes have you noticed since starting Aqua Cycling? That it challenges me and improves my cardio and leg strength
2. How does Aqua Cycling make you feel physically or mentally? It wakes me up and starts my day off on the right note!
3. What keeps you coming back each week? The variety and great instructor who pushes us!
4. What would you say to someone thinking about trying Aqua Cycling? It’s harder than you think but is an alternative cardio session that is easier on overall joints especially if mobility issues and you cannot keep up with land based workouts.
5. What’s the best thing about training in a group? Camaraderie and making new friendships
6. What made you try Aqua Cycling in the first place? Recommendation from a friend
7. One word to describe Aqua Cycling? Steroids on underwater wheels!
8. How do you feel after a session? Invigorated!
9. Is there anything you’d like to add? I love aqua and pushing myself and always feel so much better at the end of each session and Audrey is amazing with the variety of workouts and knowing how far she can push us all!

Since starting Aqua Cycling, Theo has been an absolute inspiration. His consistency, mindset, and energy have been incredible to watch, and the progress he’s made—both physically and mentally—is something to be truly proud of.
Seeing him keep up with every session, push through, and show up week after week with such a positive attitude is exactly what Aqua Cycling is all about.

1. What changes have you noticed since starting Aqua Cycling?
Since starting Aqua Cycling, I feel so much fitter both physically and mentally. I have more energy, better mobility, and a clearer mind.

2. How does Aqua Cycling make you feel physically or mentally?
At my age , I’m amazed at how much more I’m able to do with both my arms and legs. Mentally, I feel more alert and focused. It’s just as beneficial as exercising in a gym, but with the added resistance of moving large volumes of water. The buoyancy of the water also supports ageing muscles and worn ligaments, which makes the exercise both effective and gentle on the body.

3. Something you’re proud of since joining the sessions?
I’m proud that I can keep up with the others—many of whom are probably younger than me—during the rigorous exercises for arms, legs, glutes, and abs.

4. What keeps you coming back each week?
Consistency in exercise is, in my opinion, one of the keys to longevity, along with a healthy diet and good sleep. Aqua Cycling helps me maintain that routine.

5. What would you say to someone thinking about trying Aqua Cycling?
Join up! It’s a wonderful way to stay active and healthy, and it truly feels like it adds years to your life. Audrey also makes the sessions enjoyable with great music and a motivating atmosphere.

6. What’s the best thing about training in a group?
The encouragement, support, and shared sense of fun make a big difference.

7. What motivates you on days you don’t feel like exercising?
the cheerful company of the group always help motivate me to show up and give it my best.

8. What made you try Aqua Cycling in the first place?
The uniqueness of riding a bike underwater—it sounded interesting and different!

Lyn has been with us for years now and she always brings good vibes to the class. If you want good tips for holidays, short trips away, she is your girl! Lyn you rock 🤘

1. Since I have started AC my knee strength has improved so much. My knees have been weak for years post reconstructions.
2. Surgeons have always recommended bike riding for knee improvement, this is a way of me doing bike riding without the hazards of the road and the overheating of riding in the sun.
3. I like knowing that it’s a good cardio workout without too much pressure on my knees.
4. It’s also a good way of meeting nice people
5. I have been doing it now for over 3 years and still look forward to it

If you’re feeling a bit run down, need a good laugh, and want someone who will happily complain about the trainer and the exercises — and make it hilarious, Evelyn is probably the best of all of these 🤣🤣. She always arrives with a big smile on her face and loves chatting with her aqua friends.

« Since joining aqua cycling, my core strength, balance, and stability have noticeably improved.
Exercising in the water is gentle on my ageing, aching joints and allows me to stay active for 40 minutes, two to three times a week. With a mostly sedentary, desk-based lifestyle, this full body movement is so important.
I’m not a fitness addict and I don’t enjoy excessive exertion—especially sweating—so aqua cycling is ideal. You work hard, raising you temperature and your heart rate, and never notice the perspiration while you’re in the water.
Aqua Cycling keeps me coming back to the pool every single week—even during the holidays.
If I miss a session, I’m quick to book a make-up class because I genuinely miss it. I love knowing that every class is doing my body (and myself) a favour.
I was introduced to aqua cycling by a girlfriend, and once I started, I was completely hooked.
Everyone in the classes is there to enjoy both the physical benefits and the wonderful social camaraderie. We’re all lifted by the enthusiasm of our magnificent instructor, who is also the owner of the business—her energy makes every session a joy.

Great for the body, great for the soul, and the social vibe is unbeatable
