The Taekwondo Olympic competition is the best I’ve seen in years. Really competitive and strong. Even the punches are scoring! Medal matches starting now. Best way to watch 7 plus app, and stream it.

First night back to training in 2021 tonight. The ZOOM classes have proven to be an amazing replacement for normal class training during the COVID shutdown.
We were shutdown in March and went to ZOOM thinking it would be only a 3 month thing. As we all know those early predictions from authorities were way off.
Beginning of 2020 we had 7 people nominated for the Black Belt Grading in December. Then the shutdown!
Very pleased to say that apart from one of the listed contenders who stopped training at that point, not only did we maintain momentum, but the remaining 6 students all made grading in December and graded at a very high standard. Existing Black Belts can be very proud of their efforts.
Big shoutout of congratulations to Steven Rares, David Goldbaum, Skye Williams-Kelly, Ryan Lee, Anthony Lee and Matthew Wolfenden.
We have seen so many positives from the ZOOM training so far.
Many people had major breakthroughs in technique and we have tried to mirror normal class training as much as possible. Having taught 10,000+ classes over nearly 28 years (1 March) has definitely helped.
The classes have been a really positive support in all the areas of Mind and Body Fitness during a difficult year.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again tonight as we move onwards and upwards in 2021.
The ZOOM classes have allowed people in New York, California, UK to jump in. We even have a returned student (after a 26 year absence) training regularly, and very well, from Byron Bay.
Don't make the mistake of thinking Taekwondo training can't work online.
The Black Belt grading of 6 students was our biggest number in 28 years.

Best to all

So...5 weeks tonight that we've been doing the zoom classes and it's been working really well. Actually, better than anticipated.
It is proving to be a very positive dynamic and the amount of focus dedication and development that it's achieving is really great. Apart from the fact that we have all managed to stay connected and are socially interacting, everyone in their respective "training areas" are doing more than maintaining their standard. We are seeing real improvements beyond what we thought we'd see.
Taekwondo, as we know, is such a good mind, body, spirit, fitness system but to see it working remotely is a real WOW!
The feedback has been great.
Just want to say
1. thank you. Being able to continue TKD is a sanity saver.
2. I'm impressed by how well you two are managing the video class
3. a big shout out also to everyone who shows up: so much more fun to see the itty-bitty compadres on our screen than going alone (or alone + 1-2 roommates)
So a BIG thanks to all the members for committing to the emergency format.
We are very appreciative of your support.

After the shutdown on Monday and a couple of 10+ hour days of techy stuff, we held our first ever live online classes last night and they worked really well. Very positive feedback, and with a few tweaks the new improved edition will arrive at 6pm this Sunday. Thanks to everyone that attended and looking forward to the next one.
Coincidentally it was 27 years and 1 day since our very first lesson in Spring St in 1993.
