The Bondi Junction Kyokushin Karate Club has been training students for over four decades.

The instructors at Bondi Junction have had combined over 100 years experience in the practise and teaching of Karate. The Bondi Junction Kyokushin Karate Club has classes seven days a week (except for holidays and special events). Karate is both an art and a philosophy, because each person has a different personality which reflects itself in the interpretation of karate. The word “karate” means “e

End of year Break-up & Camp 🎄🥋

The last training session for 2018 will be on Friday the 21st.
We will return for the first training session in the New Year on the 2nd January.

On Friday 21st the Children’s class will run as normal, the adult’s class will be a 45-minute class, after which we will then meet on the 1st floor of the Tea Gardens Hotel for our end of year drinks. If you cannot make the training, I hope you will come along to the after-training get-together!
If you have not been at training for some time, I hope you will still come along as everybody is welcome!

2019 Summer Camp.

Please be advised that the camp in now half full. So, if you wish to attend the camp for a great weekend of training or you need to be there to grade, you should get your application in ASAP.

This picture was taken in 1974 in Japan.... From left to right Peter Wolfe, Sato and me on the end (right). I can't remember the name of the black belt next to me

On the 1st and 2nd of November in 1975 the first ever world championship's was held under the International Kyokushin Organisation in Tokyo, Japan
.
There were teams from 35 countries
.
Katsuaki SATO was the first ever world Kyokushin champion in 1975 (second on the left in this picture)
.
Peter Wolf was the first Australia Champion

FUN FACT
.
In 1988 the action film "The Punisher" staring a Kyokushin Legend was filmed in Sydney Australia
.
This is a picture taken at the time of the filming. Dolph and my 2 sons, Anthony on the left and John on the right

Most of the extras in the movie were Kyokushin students from my dojos in Australia .. I also had a small cameo in the movie 😂😂
