Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club is proud to be Australian Sailing’s Qld Club of the year during our 80th Anniversary.

We race most Sundays, host regattas, state and national titles and are a Discover Sailing Club teaching adults and kids to sail.

We just missed out on the BIG award!

Congratulations Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club on taking out Best Sailing Club Category B.

We thoroughly enjoyed representing LCSC at the Australian Sailing National Awards, and are so proud of our little Club for making it to the top 3!

Thanks to all our club members and volunteers for making our Club so awesome!

Club of the Year Category B | 2026 Australian Sailing Awards 🌟

Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club grew membership by 30.5% in 2025–26, from 410 to 535, through inclusive participation pathways and strong community engagement. Its school-linked Youth Teams Sailing Program added 20 junior members and attracted new families. The club hosted the State, National and Interdominion Teams Sailing Championships, alongside the Sailability State Championships, Women’s Short-Course Regatta and Goolwa-Milang Regatta Weekend.

Club volunteers Jenny Hart and Ashley Wood are in Sydney for tonight’s Australian Sailing National Awards. They are both excited to meet other Club reps from around the country and are beyond proud of what our little club has achieved as winners of Best Sailing Club in Queensland, Category B!

They will keep you posted of how the night goes!
