U15 Boys Players Player

One vote.

That’s all that separated five players in this year’s U15 Boys Players’ Player voting.

And honestly, when it’s that close, you know you’ve got something pretty special in a team.

Players’ Player isn’t just about skill on the field. It’s about being the teammate who has everyone’s back, lifts others up, leads by example, celebrates the little wins and makes the people around them better.

Five players receiving such strong support from their teammates is a reflection of the culture this group has built together.

They’ve stuck together, backed each other and kept showing up for one another — and that’s something worth celebrating just as much as any award.

A team that votes this closely is a team that truly plays for each other. 🦖

Congratulations to all five nominees — and to our Players’ Player for 2026 - Zane O. 👏

🏆 2026 U13 Boys Players’ Player 🏆

This award is a little different from the rest because it’s not chosen by the coaches — it’s chosen by the players themselves. It recognises the teammate who earns the respect, trust and admiration of the boys around them, both on and off the field.

And this year, it came right down to the wire!

The voting was incredibly close, with Oscar, Ethan and Angus all receiving strong support from their teammates. It remained evenly split right up until the final votes, with a last-minute change ultimately tipping the balance.

In the end, the majority chose a player they felt was truly deserving of the recognition.

Congratulations to Oscar Russell — our 2026 U13 Boys Players’ Player!

To be recognised by the very teammates you’ve trained, competed and battled alongside all season makes this a particularly special award.

Well deserved, Oscar! 🦖

🏆 2026 U13 Boys Most Improved Player 🏆

This was a tough award to choose, with several players making huge strides throughout the season — including some who had never stepped onto a rugby league field or even held a footy before.

But one player stood out for the sheer amount of work he put in. From preseason right through to the final game, he continued to learn, improve and push himself — both at training and on game day.

He certainly copped his fair share of feedback along the way, from both his coach and assistant coach (his dad! 😜), but he never let it get to him. Instead, he kept working, kept learning and kept showing up.

And by the end of the season, we saw the results of that hard work as he really started to shine.

Congratulations to A***n — our 2026 U13 Boys Most Improved Player!

A fantastic reward for your determination, resilience and commitment throughout the season. 🦖

🏆 2026 U13 Boys Coaches Award 🏆

The U13 Boys Coaches Award goes to a player who never took his foot off the pedal and gave 100% every single game.

Whether he was carrying an injury, the team was playing short playing short or he was battling through illness, he continued to step up and give everything he had. From the opening whistle to the final siren, he consistently showcased his skills, determination and leadership.

For that unwavering commitment and the example he set for his teammates, the 2026 U13 Boys Coaches Award goes to…

Oscar Russell!

Congratulations Oscar — a well-deserved recognition of your effort, leadership and commitment throughout the season. 🦖
