Building Mobility, Movement & Motion through Exercise, from Prehab to Rehab to Lifelong Function

22/01/2023

Whilst we tend to work with people once there is pain, injury or surgery, PREVENTION is always the best cure. Balance and control of your feet/stance/walking gait is one of the first and most important things to work on. Mobility, Flexibility, Strength and Movement quality complete the structure of our training methodology.

7 STRETCHES in 7 DAYS

A shortened version of our classic month long MOBILITY MAY program. We base all of our programs around mobility and flexibility, so here is a small mini program to try and get people into the HABIT of stretching. There are many ways to stretch and many many stretches to use but it all comes back to just getting started. Try and do these basic all over stretches for 7 days straight and see how you feel!

(just download/screenshot the attached picture) Good Luck!

BALANCE - so very important. It doesn't have to be one-leg on a BOSU like Kev here, but just a little everyday can help! Take a few mins a day, stand next to a wall so you can lean on if needed, and try to build up to 30 secs balancing on each leg

Oldie but a goodie. We are born without the injuries and stiffness/tightness that affect so many of us as we age. The challenge is finding our way back to optimal and pain free movement. For some that is squatting as perfectly as this little one .. and for others, it is simply to have the strength to get up off the floor. The good news, it is never too late to start!

Whilst we predominantly work one on one with people, since 2007, we have run a morning bootcamp that has grown and changed with our clients into a circuit style training session that focuses more on full body mobility and strength. Stretching and Foam Rolling at the end of the session is a favourite amongst the group.
