AORRA has received a proposal to amend the track width regulations for Class 6 Buggies.

Current Regulation: Class 6 Buggies are limited to a maximum track width of 2000mm, measured from the outer edges of the tyres.

Proposed Change: Increase the maximum track width to 2100mm, measured from tyre edge to tyre edge, unless the manufacturer's standard or factory option configuration specifies a wider track.

Voting Eligibility: Holders of a valid AASA vehicle passport for a Class 6 vehicle are eligible to vote on this proposed change.

Voting Deadline: The voting period closes on 31st December 2024. Each eligible passport holder is entitled to only one vote.

Well the Don River Dash 2024 didn’t go quite as planned, but the boys got it done and finished the weekend.

78 cars started on Saturday, 43 finished Sunday afternoon (yep, unfortunately we were the 43rd car). Another weekend filled with belt changes and the occasional fire, it wasn’t the weekend we were hoping for. But a weekend spent at Bowen racing with great company is always a good time.

Big thanks for Wayne Jukes for jumping in the Navi seat for the weekend and getting the endless belt changes done. Thanks to zoe and Maddie for all their help in the pits and keeping the boys hydrated 🍻. Also a special mention to Harry and Johnno back home getting the buggy sorted once again.

But a big shout out to the Burdekin Offroaders INC club for putting on a fantastic event, it’s always a great race and well run.
