Zone Benefit Carnival 2026 🐎💛

What a great weekend of polocrosse at the Zone Benefit Carnival held on 23 and 24 May.

This carnival is always a fun one, with clubs mixed together and players getting the chance to play alongside, and sometimes against, their own club mates. We even had Bowen players lining up against Bowen players, all in the name of good fun and great polocrosse.

A big shoutout to our subbies, who played an absolute blinder over the weekend. It was so good to see how much their skills have improved over the off season. We’ll admit, some of them were slotting goals under pressure better than a few of us seniors can!

A great weekend, great sportsmanship, and plenty of laughs. Well done to everyone who played, helped, travelled and supported the weekend.

Bowen polocrosse club opened the season with a cracking carnival held by Emerald Polocrosse Club.
The weather was fresh and the ponies were fresher and ready to open their season!
Bowen fielded two chukkas with thanks to Emerald legend Brian who doubled up all weekend, umpired and ran the carnival!
The first section saw Adam, Anna & Wade take on the B Grade and Shannon, Brian & Farren in the C grade, whist our littlest member Bailey was off lead and cantering all over the place showing how to do it in the sub juniors!
There were may laughs, a few goals and a few beers had across the weekend and Faren took out Fairest Female in the C grade taking home a stunning cow hide rug from sponsors Country Allure !
Whilst we weren't lucky enough to take out the competition, the horses and riders all travelled, performed and executed a safe and very enjoyable weekend, so that makes us winners!

A huge thank you to Point Operations for their generous support of Bowen Polocrosse Club.

We’re excited to share that through their Community Support Program, Bowen Polocrosse Club has received $5,000 in financial support towards new horse yards at our grounds.

On top of this, Abbot Point Operations has also come on board as a valued sponsor of our Bowen Polocrosse Carnival, and we’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing support.

Contributions like this make a real difference to small community sporting clubs, helping us improve our facilities, support our members and volunteers, and continue growing our carnival weekend for players, families and visiting teams.

Held on the Saturday, this event is all about celebrating the incredible women in our sport — the mums, wives, girlfriends, aunties, sisters and all the hardworking ladies behind the scenes 💛

Swap the sidelines for the marquee and enjoy an afternoon of:
