Hi folks, itβs Noah here.
Mum trimmed my front hooves this morning. Lovely Jen came over to stand with me while mum cut my toenails.
Jen talked to me quietly and gave me lots of cuddles. I had a bit of a snooze π€ and I could feel her tickling my lips , but I didnβt care. I love β€οΈ Jen!
My feet feel good too.
Thanks mum!

My horse herd are very itchy at the moment.
This is from the frequent rain we have had that has brought up the weeds with the fresh grass.
They have bad scabs on their legs and chest from walking through the grass.
To combat this season, (and it is a seasonal thing), the geldings wear mesh rugs. As we know, Abbey takes hers off! God knows Iβve tried! π
They all are on a toxin binder supplement in their feed. They are all getting regular washes with medicated shampoo.
However they are still suffering and I feel awful about it.
So⦠today I will start them all on a Vitamin C supplement in their feed.
Luckily in my local Woolies supermarket they were having a half price sale on their discontinued line of Vitamin C, so I cleared the shelf! Lol π
Hopefully this will make a big difference and they will all be feeling better very soon.
Below is part of an interesting article about Vitamin C in horse diets from Kentucky Equine Research.

NDIS CHANGES
*Attention Clients*
I have found a category under which Horse Heroes can continue to operate according to the new NDIS regulations.
If you have funding under this line number, we can continue with your sessions.

*NDIS CHANGES*
Recently the rules of what the National Disability Insurance Scheme will and will not fund has changed.
The guidelines are now much stricter.
Will this affect Horse Heroes?
The short answer is, βYes β.
There is no way around it, there will be changes to Horse Heroes in the future.
What changes they will be is yet to be determined.
Possibilities may include:
- Having only privately funded clients. This would mean a significant increase in pricing for clients.
- Closing Horse Heroes as a small business, and starting up a similar organisation that runs as an incorporated charity.
- Closing the service to the community all together, and being grateful for the amazing opportunity and the things that have taken place at Horse Heroes over the past three and a half years.
- Other options that have not yet revealed themselves.
While I am working out these issues, and developing a plan for the future of Horse Heroes, we will try to continue to run as we are.
If you have viable suggestions, please let me know.
Many thanks for your understanding and patience.
