GPS Rugby Club GPS Rugby Club. Home of the Gallopers. One of Australias oldest and largest rugby clubs.

GPS Rugby Club was established in 1887, as the Past Grammar School Football Club, and is now one of the oldest surviving rugby clubs in Australia. Based in Ashgrove Brisbane, The Gallopers field junior, senior, womens, golden oldies and premier grade teams. The club has produced more than 50 Wallabies and 200 Queensland representatives with seven having captained for Australia, two for the Australian Sevens and one who has captained for England.

A huge congratulations to our U13 Green, U14 Blue, U14 Green, U15 Green and U16 Blue teams, who will take the field this weekend.

🐎 BE PART OF THE GALLOPERS IN 2027
As we start looking ahead to the 2027 season, GPS Rugby is seeking expressions of interest from people who would like to get involved across our club.

Whether you’re an experienced coach, keen to take the next step in your coaching journey, interested in a team management role, or simply looking for a way to volunteer and give back to the game, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for expressions of interest across:

🏉 Coaching roles
📋 Team managers
🙌 Volunteers
🐎 Men’s, Women’s, Colts & Junior Rugby

There are plenty of ways to be part of Galloper Nation, both on and off the field.

Building towards 2027 🐎

With the 2026 season behind us, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the year and, more importantly, look at what’s ahead for GPS Rugby.

2026 saw some important steps forward for the club, including the launch of our Elite Academy, the reestablishment of our Women’s program.

None of it happens without the people behind the blue and green - our players, coaches, managers, medical staff, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and wider GPS community.

Now, the focus turns to 2027.

Growing our Academy. Strengthening our Women’s program. Investing in our coaches. And continuing to build a club where players can develop, enjoy their rugby and be proud to represent GPS.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in 2026. We’re excited for what comes next. 💙💚
