Let’s give it up for the incredible Clint Lidster! 👏👏👏

After crossing the finish line of his fifth Guzzler 100km this year, Clint has now clocked up an incredible 550km across our trails — officially earning his place in the 500km Hall of Fame and perpetual race bib #999. 🏅

Clint has been with us since the very beginning in 2019, returning year after year to take on the trails, the climbs, the weather and everything The Guzzler can throw at you.

But it’s what keeps bringing him back that we love most.

“Training for the very first edition of The Guzzler introduced me to the many trails in and around Brisbane, for that I will always be thankful. But if you couple that with how well organised and professionally run the event is, the incredible atmosphere generated from all involved across the staff, volunteers and participants... it's just always a pleasure to race. Truly feels like home.”

Gerard Olive is one of only three runners who hold both Ever-Present status and 500km Legend honours. Since toeing the line at our very first event in 2019, Gerard has consistently taken on whatever Mt Coot-tha and the Brisbane ranges could throw at him.

Having crossed the line at every Guzzler since the very first edition in 2019, Colin holds a flawless record and is within arm’s reach of becoming a 500km Legend in 2027.

Since day one in 2019, Jennifer Watterson has made The Guzzler finish line an annual tradition.

8 years, 8 events, and 9 medals later, Jennifer remains one of our rare Ever-Presents—and she’s on track to earn her 500km Legend title in 2027. Her grit and consistency across nearly a decade of trail running is something we deeply admire.

Pencil it in, trail lovers—The Guzzler is set to return for another massive weekend on the Brisbane trails next winter!

Behind the scenes, we’re already working hard to secure permits and lock in our suppliers and contractors to make 2027 our best edition yet.

All things going to plan, entries will officially open in early November.

In 2019, the very first edition of The Guzzler kicked off with a brave cohort of trail runners. While plenty lined up, only 346 runners managed to conquer the course and make it to the finish line.

Fast forward eight years and eight events later, and just 9 runners have managed an unbroken streak of official finishes from day one to today.

These runners aren't just names in the results; they are an integral part of the Guzzler family, and athletes we hold a massive amount of admiration and respect for.

Over the coming weeks, we’re spotlighting each of these incredible individuals:

We also want to give a massive nod to Luke Davidson and Richard Young, whose unbroken finish streaks sadly came to an end this year. Going that deep into consecutive years is an extraordinary achievement, and you will always be a huge part of The Guzzler history.
