Before I start only do deadlifts if you have been shown and had someone correct your technique by a professional. No matter what type of training you are doing deadlifts are one of the most important exercises you can do. It will show you were your weak muscles are, increasing your overall strength, improves core strength and grip strength. Just remember as with everything, use good technique, don't forget to brace and use a percentage of your 1 RM and program in Deload weeks. If unsure how to do this, send me a message and I'll help you reach those goals

When it comes to training during a lockdown sometimes you have to think outside the box. Or look at other sports to get your training done. Try this as part of your home workout, this is one of the exercises we do at Muay Thai and great for cardio, core and strength.

So looks like another lockdown, Steel and Stones were doing Queensland strongest man and women comp today. Think about the time and money they put in to do this show, think about the athletes who trained to get ready for this comp. People shut down there business again, plans cancelled, stress and anxiety increased but don't worry this is for our health so they tell us. This is getting beyond a joke.

So after getting attacked by a dog and resting my leg I can finally get back to training next week. The best way to come back from a injury is to always treat the first week back as a deload week. Go light drop weight, sets and increase the reps. Listen to your body and don't push to hard. As for my Muay Thai, I will just take that one day at a time, if i need a rest in that first to weeks then I will take the day off from that side of my training.

So looks like my strongman and Muay Thai training is on hold for a hope only two weeks. Walking my dog on Saturday and this other dog come out of nowhere and attack me and my dog. Still training clients though just walking very slow and sitting down as they lift. Looking to push your training? To reach your goal? Then send us a message.

Today's session, 1 hour ride to Muay Thai, 1 hour of Muay Thai, next door to Steel and stones for upper body strength training, 1 hour ride home. Don't wish for it, work for it.

New toy to add to my training. Increasing my cardio for Muay Thai.

One thing l love to do is push myself to the next level. With me doing Muay Thai now I'm going to be riding to and from the gym to improve my cardio. It will hurt at first but you push past that to reach that goal.
