Can confirm we have nominated a Qld Fijian Invitational side to play in the reconciliation 9's Carnival at Deception Bay the weekend of January 24th and 25th 2015. The squad will be capped at 14 players with a fee of $60 per player to go towards the $1000 nomination fee and a training shirt...Jerseys, shorts, socks will be provided on the day with our nomination towards other 9's tournaments dependent on the interest for this one. Inbox your details only if your fully committed to train and play. The final Squad will be finalized by January 10th and full payment is required.

Due to non attendance at training we have suspended our 2014 program..... We have an opportunity to submit a team in the reconciliation 9's played at Deception Bay in Feb 2015 .. as well as take a Opens team to NZ late in 2015 to play NZ Fiji ... players would be required to provide $ to this trip to book your place and to commit to the tour ... interest in both is sort by inbox and announcements will be posted. Prize money is on offer for the 9's so a nomination fee is required.

Training is on starting Wednesday Oct 1 at Waterford Demons RL field Nofke Pk Armstrong Rd Meadowbrook ... behind Logan Hospital and there is a train station nearby for those that have no lift. We will start from 630pm - 8pm and propose to have Opens and an u18 or 20 side depending on numbers. It is impoertant for our future development that we field an age side either 18's or 20's so if you have a younger brother, cousin, nephew friend etc bring them along.
Pud Pask will be running the session and will be joined by Peter Ridsdale on his return from the mines next week. We also hope to have Col Saukuru back to help as well. Games are against Qld PNG on Oct 18th and the Pacific Cup the following weekend...so dust off ya boots boys grab some mates and get to training!!!

Final team selections will be announced by the AFRL . Team will be coached by Joe Sakuru. The AFRL has announced that the IRL has granted this game test match status! Awesome effort by our reps and the players were selected from their performances this year including our recent games in Sydney and here. Unavailability or non commitment of several key players outside the World Cup squad have afforded some fringe players selection. Remember any injuries to the Bati World Cup squad will mean players from this game or Fiji Resident's will be drafted to replace them so it is a massive opportunity. Go hard boys and lets get Fiji inscribed on that Cup!

We have an opportunity to play Qld PNG 20's this Saturday with a few seniors allowed to play....do we have numbers?? Whos keen ... need to know by tomorrow cant wait for training...in box me!

Our Qld Fijian Rugby League boys did themselves and familys proud playing with only 2 reserves in very hot conditions the boys capped Fiji Day celebrations by grinding down Qld PNG to run away with a 52-12 win in the Civoneceva - Bai cup. We acknowledge this was not either nations top sides on the day and we salute Qld PNG for their brave efforts but full credit to our boys who fielded more than half the team 20 yrs or younger. VERY PROUD of every player and the rewards will come when we announce the players who made the Junior Bati and Bati test team for games against Lebanon in Sydney on October 19th. We will announce these shortly. Big shout out to our country men who played in the Fiji 7's day at Norths rugby club today hope we all had a successful day. Bula vinaka boys!!
