Not Australian but so worthy reporting… the fastest Vw beetle on the planet, Volkron! These guys have been chasing that elusive 6 second pass hard for the last few weeks and they’ve finally cracked it!

This weeks spotlight is on Troy ford, the quiet achiever! Mr nice guy! But, make sure you’ve got your s**t together when you race him because he’s quick and consistent! Troy gave me his story below along with a bunch of pics and videos so check it out….

My story started with trying to build a street beetle with a decent engine, but that changed pretty quick as brother Ben convinced me to get it ready in time to take to warwick vw weekend 2014. After that weekend we decided to just keep it as a drag car planning to put a roll cage and all safety equipment needed. But in 2016 i purchased a beetle that had all the gear in it that we were planning to do. So we just put my 2332cc engine into it and took it racing for a few years until roughly 2020 came along and we decided to do a complete make over of the car stripped the car of everything and put it on a diet going from 630ish kg to 560ish kg and rebuild everything from the ground up doing it our way. With the help of Wayne Penrose and Ben Ford it's now N/A beast running on methanol making around 250hp and a blast to drive!

2025 vw warwick weekend all motor winner and bragging rights winner.

This is where I spent today, packing nearly 100 shirts and hoodies and watching Vw drag racing on YouTube 😂… for everyone I sent tracking numbers to, they will be in the post tomorrow morning. Still working out shipping for Canada and USA orders but they will be done asap. Thanks for the support!
