20,000 and counting...

More than 20,000 trail users have now been recorded on the Palm Cove to Ellis Beach section of the Wangetti Trail, highlighting the demand for world-class nature-based experiences in Far North Queensland.

As part of the visionary Destination 2045 plan, the Wangetti Trail will become Queensland's first purpose-built dual-use walking and mountain biking trail in a national park, connecting visitors with the spectacular landscapes, rich cultural heritage and unique environments of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.

With construction of the next section from Ellis Beach to Wangetti now underway, momentum for this iconic ecotourism project continues to build.
