Tassie Thunder Mixed Netball Team

2022 CANA is over! We gave it all we had and came away keen for 2023! It was a positive end to the carnival for the team.
We were proud at the announcement of those who made the CANA championship team. This is where coaches in each division select players who they believe are the highest ranked in their division. The top voted go into make the 2022 Championship Mixed team. Alongside the team, the coaches vote for the coach they believe coached in the spirit of CANA, and who would make the championship coach.
Tassie Thunder in their debut at CANA, ended up with Shaun Hamilton as a midcourter in the championship team and our coach Tania was voted as the Championship Coach of the mixed team 2022.
We are proud of you both! 👏

Semi final day tomorrow!!

Day 5 for the Thunder... it was a little hot today for the players.. 31 degrees! Tough to play in, but beautiful to coach in!

Catching up on the week...

Morning recovery session- just what the coaches ordered! Refreshed and ready to play. 2 tough games today, 2.40pm and 7.30 pm. Thank you Recovery Science 🙏

Final score 56-13

Day 1 saw us play the host side and come away with a 68-13 victory. A great team effort from Thunder, as all players listened and followed coaching tips. The support and encouragement from all players both on and off the court was fantastic.
With 2 games tomorrow, we look forward to seeing what the day brings..

The skyline of Brisbane... we arrived yesterday and settled in to our apartment. Keen for the first day of competition today at CANA. We have had a change in the roster due to the public holiday. Today we play at 5.50pm, after the opening ceremony at 3pm. Hopefully I remember to go live!
