While this drill is limited in its ability to translate a powerful hip drive to the bar, it can provide a first step for athletes who struggle to drive power from their hips rather than from their knees.
This is really important in bringing power into your kipping bar muscle up and all of your kipping movements for CrossFit.

This box drill can help athletes understand how to pull their hips and shoulders behind the bar.
In others it can highlight how great the strength deficit is and therefore help them understand why the toes to bar is not yet unlocked for them.
