Remember Queensland Badminton Association is running the inaugural Queensland Air Badminton Championships ie Doubles on the 23/05 and 30/05 on the Gold Coast.

Entries are now open for the Australian AirBadminton Championships 2026, set to take place at Sandstorm Beach Volleyball, QLD, from Friday 28 - Sunday 30 August.

The event is open to eligible players from Australia and across Oceania*🌞!

Queensland Badminton Association is seeking nominations for the Queensland Under 15 and Under 19 teams.
Yonex Under 15 and Under 19 National Championships
When: 5th - 11th July 2026
Where: Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC)
Nominations must be received by the 2nd May 2026.
Nominees for the 2026 Queensland team must outline what Badminton Australia sanctioned tournaments they have participated in (that attract Australia ranking points), i.e. events appearing on the National Calendar https://www.revolutionise.com.au/badminton/events/. Players are asked to record their top three recent results from September 2025 to nomination closing date. Results should be included for all three disciplines where possible.
Players must be available to travel 1 or 2 days before the start of the event.

HISTORY MADE: Brisbane Duo to Lead Australia Against China!

In a true "David vs. Goliath" moment, 20-year-old Ephraim Stephen Sam who started his journey hitting shuttles in local Brisbane school halls, will step onto the court as Australia’s No. 1 Singles player to face the reigning World No. 1, Shi Yu Qi.

Adding to this historic moment, Jack Yu takes the mantle as the No. 1 Doubles lead. It marks the first time Queensland athletes have occupied both top-seeded positions in a major international team championship.

This isn't just a match; it’s a testament to the strength of the Brisbane badminton community and the path from our local clubs to the world stage.
