Walking Football comes to the Sutherland Shire!
Grays Point Soccer Club hosted the first of three Come and Try Walking Football Sessions on Friday evening the 10th February to introduce this version of the beautiful game to our community. The event was organised with support from Football NSW and Sutherland Shire Football Association.
We had players ranging in age from 40-70 years of age, both men and women. Players also had a diversity of experience, with some trying football for the first time, and others returning after a break from playing highly competitive football. Some of our players had health issues that prevented them from playing higher impact sports and appreciated the opportunity to engage in a team sport with a reasonable level of activity in a safe and enjoyable way.
There will be two more Walking Football ‘Come and Try’ sessions at Grays Point Soccer Club on Friday the 17th and 24th of February. For more information and to register visit the Grays Point Soccer Club website or page. Sutherland Shire Football Association Football NSW
