For any running based sport, Plantar Fasciitis (PF) is something you’re likely to see as load & volumes increase.
Whilst many factors contribute to the likelihood of having PF pain, once you have it the feeling can be debilitating and aggravating when trying to continue training or playing.
Managing PF can be challenging, but it is essential to prevent it ruining your season.
In this post we will explain…

âś… What causes it
âś… How we treat it
Big shout out to .tonyf as always for rehab education

To go along with our post yesterday we have an example early stage management to return back to sport. This is how we would manage loading when returning from a severe ATFL injury not requiring surgery.
Our coaches have all worked with athletes from different sports & events and at different levels of ability. If you have any questions or want to get the most out of your training, send us a message or email and we would love to help

Ankle injuries are extremely common in running based sports, and lateral ankle sprains make up a huge amount of them.
ATFL injuries make up about 85% of these sprains, we come across them regularly when working with teams & academy programs.
Understanding the injury and knowing how to properly return to the sport post-rehab is essential to reduce reinjury risk and prevent symptoms from persisting.
In this post we will explain…
âś… How common it is
âś… What causes it
âś… How we treat it
Some of these sprains are a 1-2 week turn around, but some cases may require 6-8 weeks or even surgery. We will go into depth in another post about how we would manage an 8 week return to play protocol.
Big shout out to .tonyf for all the info and advice on this

Shin splints, we all know what it is and have probably had a little of it in the past.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen cases where it is excruciating and debilitating, preventing participation in sport or activity for long periods of time.
As our understanding of it has gotten greater, we particularly focus on designing programs that appropriately increase running load. The best rehab is prehab, and having coaches that understand how to prevent the onset or return is worth gold🏆

It won’t go away overnight, but if you do the right things to get on top of it you will be able to return to normal training much sooner and with much less pain in between!
Big shout out to .tonyf for all the help making this pieceđź’Ş
