💡 Tip Tuesday 💡

The little corrections coaches give every class are often the ones that make the biggest difference 🤸‍♀️✨

• Tight knees
Bent knees can make skills look messy and reduce power. Learning to quickly straighten and tighten your legs creates cleaner technique and stronger shapes.

• Pointed toes
Pointed toes improve body lines, presentation and overall technique. It’s a small detail that can completely change how a skill looks.

• Push through your shoulders
In skills like handstands, strong shoulders help keep the body lifted and stable. Sinking into the shoulders can make balancing much harder.

• Stick your landing
Controlled landings show balance and body control while also helping reduce injuries. Focus on absorbing the landing and finishing still.

• Strong core
Your core helps connect your whole body together. A strong core improves balance, shapes, control and power across all apparatus.

• Eyes up on beam
Looking up instead of down helps improve posture, confidence and stability. Your head position can have a huge impact on your balance.

Strong basics build strong gymnasts 💪✨

Tip Tuesday 💡

Coach keeps saying “long swings!” — here’s why 🤸‍♀️✨

Long swings on bars help create rhythm, power and smoother skills. The bigger and more controlled your swing, the easier it is to connect into the next movement.

• Keep your body long and tight — Squeeze your legs together and engage your core.
• Hanging through your shoulders — Strong shoulders help create a bigger swing shape.
• Open through your body — Don’t pike or tuck too early. Stay stretched and extended.
• Keep your rhythm — Smooth swings build momentum and confidence.

Long body = long swings = stronger bars 💪✨
