We wish Wendy and “Bull” a very safe and successful journey, and good luck to all

We’ll see ya 2021 possibly the most trying head for the population the world over!!! But we seen it out a winner MAGNITUDO!!! This speedy little gelding kept his 100% record in tact at Ipswich. Under a dominant front running ride from Wendy Peel he kicked away to lead out by a long margin but he toughed it out and staved off his rivals for comprehensive .8 of length win. This little pocket rocket is seems very progressive and we are can’t wait to see what he can accomplish in the coming years. YOU KNOW THE DEAL, BACK WENDY PEEL!!!
And 2022!! We welcome you with open arms. An old foot soldier made his return debut run after leaving us for a while and what a run it was. Dr Why Not!!! Drawing barrier one under the guidance of his owners son and ex stable apprentice Michael Murphy. He jumped a length in front before mick elected to take old of him and box seat. Turning for home he got up the fence and raced away to score by 2 lengths. Securing his way into the Magic Millions QTIS classic. A special victory for Mick in the wake of the death of his late father John. We couldn’t be happier for him. DONT TELL FURPHIES, BACK MICK MURPHY.

Wowee!!! What a day for the stable yesterday!!!
Four runners, 2 winners a third and a fourth so incredibly proud of Grand Shanghai and Taormina Duchess running 4th and 3rd respectively.
But what about the little pocket rocket Magnitudo. He’s been a work in progress since joining our team, but yesterday Wendy Peel rated him to perfection. He jumped like a rocket from an outside alley, and the further he went the further the margin widened.
And of course little Tina (Bean Awhile) this nuggetty little redhead had the addition of blinkers yesterday and they did the trick. Ridden to perfection again by Wendy Peel she jumped beautifully from barrier 2, box seated, come away from the fence at the top of the straight and raced away from her rivals for a comprehensive victory.
Special mention to Wendy Peel, this girl is an absolute machine. Her work ethic is outstanding and the results are starting to come for her. She is an integral part of our team and we couldn’t be more happy for her and the success she has.
We just want to thank all our owners for there ongoing, continuous and loyal support. Days like yesterday are what this game is all about!!!

And The Boy goes bang!!!!
Bullion Boy smash’s them in his first ever start in a race.
Ridden perfectly by the Real Deal Wendy Peel. He jumped right with them and sat outside the leader, he was let roll from the 600 and put them away at the top of the straight.
He was wayward in the straight, but powered away to a 4.5 length victory. Congratulations to all connections and Wendy on a great ride.
This horse winning is a very special significance as he is the first horse Lindsay has bred himself.
Onwards and upwards for this little fella!!

He will ridden by Wendy Peel taking 2kg off to carry 57kg and will jump from barrier 4 in Race 5 - 4:03PM UNDER THE LOUVRE AT GRANDVIEW Maiden Handicap (1100 METRES)
We wish all connections, Wendy and the horse a very safe and successful journey.

RACEDAY!!!
THE BIG HORSE!!!
Today the team takes a little trip down the M1 to Southport AQUIS PARK GOLD COAST.
Where we are represented by the stable gentleman in ZUMIKON!!! This flashy gelding backed up his super Gold Coast win with an impressive third in Saturday metro company last start and drops back to midweek grade today in
Race 8 - 5:05PM GCTC MEMBER OF THE YEAR - JIM FRANK RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap (1200 METRES). Ideally drawn in barrier 3 and Wendy Peel’s 3kg allowance gives this fella a great opportunity to put another “W” next to his name.
From everyone at Gough Racing we wish Wendy, Zumi and all connections all the best for a safe and productive journey.

RACEDAY!!!!
Today is a massive day for the stable with runners at either end of the state!!!
First we head to Doomben with two runners first up ALDERMAN takes his place in Race 5 - 1:47PM # # DRY BENCHMARK 72 Handicap (1600 METRES)
This ultra consistent fella will jump from barrier 2 with Jimmy Orman in the saddle. After a great run last start this bloke is really ready to go on with the job now.
A little later in the day we are represented by ZUMIKON in Race 7 - 3:07PM COUNTRY MUSIC WEEKEND 10-11 SEPT Colts, Geldings & Entires No Metro Win Handicap (1200 METRES).
This fella was very impressive last start being kept under wraps with plenty in hand as he ran away with a race at the Gold Coast to win by 2 and 3/4 lengths ridden a treat by Wendy Peel.
Wendy retains the ride today and the horse has continued to improve since his latest run. Drawn a little awkward he will need a shade of luck but he’s certainly not out of this with the weight he gets off his back from last start.
Then last but certainly not least, we travel to the home of the Gough boys. Townsville. Where the gentleman of the turf RIGHT OR WRONG lines up in Race 8 - 5:10PM TAB CLEVELAND BAY (1300 METRES)
Aided by a sensationally timed ride by Tiffani Brooker the old boy saluted in the Mackay Newmarket last start. Tiff stays on board today for the Cleveland Bay and drawn perfectly in barrier five the old boy can add another North Queensland feature to his CV.
We wish all connections, riders and horses a safe and positive journey and all the very best of luck. 🤞🏽 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

RACEDAY!!!!
Today the team heads up the Bruce to the sunny coast!!! With two representatives both with very good chances to keep the stables recent run of red hot form very much alive!!!
Race 4 - 2:32PM UQ VETS EQUINE HOSPITAL BM68 Handicap (1200 METRES)
Suilven will take his place under Jimmy Orman and jump from barrier 2!! This ultra consistent gelding had been in top form since returning this campaign and has a very good chance to add another “W” to his name this afternoon!!
We wish Suily, Jimmy and all connections a safe and productive journey and all the very best of luck.
Race 8 - 5:00PM EZYBONDS NO. 1 Class 1 Plate (1400 METRES)
Gala Rain will jump from barrier 4 but with scratching’s will come into 2. This mare really showed her toughness and fight last start to break her maiden on a bottomless bog track at Ipswich and we are looking for another bold showing this afternoon under Jake Bayliss! After an appalling run of bad barrier draws over the last couple of weeks Gala gets her chance to shine through again today.
We wish Gala, Jake and all connections the very best of luck hopefully she can make it two straight.
Also Happy Birthday to all the horses, another year older which means our younger stock are nearing closer and closer to starting there racing careers. Exciting times ahead for Gough Racing. Watch this space
And a special mention to a great stable client in Troy Hanley happy birthday el presidente!!! Hopefully your little girl can get over the line on your special day for you and the rest of her connections!!

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!
Zumikon!!! This old war horse continues the rich vain of form that our stable is in at the moment (6 winners from our last 12 starters).
Steered to perfection by apprentice Wendy Peel claiming two.
The old boy jumped, settled just behind the speed, peeled round heels on the point of the bend and put his rivals to sleep inside the 300 to score by 2 and half lengths.
This victory was a special one for the stable as this horse sat in a paddock for 2 and a half years after a tendon issue and with the help of Trevour Lambourne and his staff at Mikian Farm and a lot of patience we have been to get him back to winning form for some very loyal stable clients.
To also be able to repay Wendy Peel for all the work she has done for stable over the last couple of months to get the maiden monkey off her back was a big thrill.
Onwards and upwards Zumi 🐎🐎🐎

RACEDAY!!!! 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
This afternoon we take a little trip down the M1 to the Gold Coast where Zumikon will take his place in Race 3 Bryant & Bryant Chartered Accountants BM65 Handicap over 1100m. He will jump from barrier 2 with Wendy Peel claiming 2kg for him to carry 55kg.
This imposing gelding has had 2 runs for the stable this prep with 2 impressive thirds at the sunny coast. The latter of which he sat 3 deep the trip and boxed on really well in the straight.
With a shade of luck this bloke is in top top shape to continue the stables impressive form run of late. We wish Wendy and “Zumi” a very safe and successful journey and all connections the very best of luck. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Go Zumi
