Heyyyy from Adelaide, South Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

I've been here for around 6 weeks now and feel like I'm finally finding my feet in my second year here in Australia!

Personal Training & Classes Update:

After having a sit down with myself and having a real think about what I want out of this next chapter, alongside looking into what the fitness scene is like here in Adelaide and after a very busy (but fulfilling) year teaching classes in Brisbane, I've decided to take the next 6-12 months off from teaching and personal training.

After 4 incredible years of growing, learning and trying to build something I am proud of, it doesn't come easy to make this decision.
I LOVE teaching classes and helping people to love lifting weights, finding their love for themselves and their body but my focus this year is to explore this beautiful country as much as possible whilst I have the opportunity to do so.

And whilst I'm not very active on here at the moment, I'm going to try to make more of a conscious effort to use this platform to give to you what I would normally give to my classes and clients to ensure I'm still helping in some way and still filling my cup up with the thing that brings me joy and purpose.

Thank you for all those that have been on this journey with me over the past 4 years so far! This isn't the end, it's just a brief pause to in person coaching 🫢

How my morning starts Vs how it finishes --> πŸ˜…

Just thought I'd bring a little normality to your feeds as I show you how I rock up every Saturday morning to the gym to prepare and get ready to teach my classes and to show you that even as a PT and Class Instructor, I don't always fit in. I'm not a massive girly girl, not big on make up or matching outfits. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I get a surge of girly vibes and whack out my only matching set but that's a rarity πŸ™ˆ.

This is me when I teach most times. Baggy clothes, being warm and comfortable.

I'm there to TEACH, that's my main priority.

And your main priority is to TRAIN.

What matters is that you are showing up and working on YOU!

So don't ever feel intimidated or afraid to rock up to one of my classes or to send me a message for support 🫢

P.s It's 'Winter' here in Brisbane and dark when I start my cycle to work, hence the hat and many layers 🀣

The past 6 months I've really been focusing on my own journey. Ensuring I'm following a programme, being held accountable and fuelling my body with what it needs to thrive.
Paired with a few other lifestyle changes, results are starting to show and as much as I am all here for the baggy clothes, mismatched gym sets and looking a hot mess when I train, on this particular day I really felt strong and good about myself πŸ’ͺ so I took a photo to capture the moment.

And as always, it isn't all about the physical results (which to some you may not think I look any different). I've noticed so many changes in my every day life that having a consistent training programme has contributed towards πŸ‘

So don't give up, it's not an overnight quick fix. Real results take time, commitment and consistency.

Your weekly reminder... ✌️

Just trying to be as real as I can be in a world full of the best picture out of the 100 taken πŸ“Έ in hope I can encourage you to feel a bit more confident & comfortable in a gym/ class/ exercise environment.

You belong there just as much as anybody else πŸ‘Š

It's an absolute privilege and honour to love what you do and my gosh do I miss teaching my classes & seeing my clients😭

I cannot WAIT to find my feet here in Australia and start making an impact on lives through my classes. From what I've seen so far, they definitely do things differently here in terms of how they train, the types of classes and the biggest thing, the TIME!!! Most classes happen before 7am and rarely are there any after 530pm πŸ™ƒ one hell of a shock to my system.

Change is inevitable in all our lives, we've just got to step into the uncomfortableness and see what's on the other side with an open mind and positive attitude (easier said than done but we can try right?)

Hope all my class members are still smashing their goals and showing up for themselves πŸ’ͺ

Jet lag is a b*tch πŸ™ƒβœˆοΈ
Trying to keep any kind of training routine is tough and to be honest isn't at the top of my list of things I need to do right now. But moving my body in some way after 2 days of travelling, getting the blood circulating, trying to balance out my emotions was definitely needed... Even if I did cry half way through because I was so exhausted and overwhelmed 🀣 (I struggle out of routine so this is a huge challenge for me).

We were able to stay awake till 7pm on the day we landed but accidentally slept for 20 hours 🀦thought we'd cracked it yesterday by getting a good amount of sleep, up all day but alas, I've been awake since 4am this morning and yesterday I cried about not having my fluffy socks... πŸ™ƒ

Moral of the story here, life isn't always going to follow your routine or plan. Life happens, changes big and small. When you're on this journey give yourself a bit of grace. If you don't get your workout in for a few days IT'S OKAY! You're not going to undo all your hard work. If you're eating isn't on point or you're not hitting those goals, again it's okay! Don't punish yourself or mentally beat yourself up. Once the dust settles, you'll find your feet again.

It's a journey not a race ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Just over here trying to be proof of the product that I teach, even in this heat πŸ₯΅βœŒοΈ

It's been a while team but I'm still here teaching my group exercise classes all over Central and South East London, coaching my online & in person clients, all whilst working away at the pharmacy, imma busy 🐝 for sureee!

So instead of feeling overwhelmed and completely shutting down, I've taken pressure off where I can (Instagram being one of them) to ensure I am still the best coach, trainer, pharmacy dispenser and most of all, still filling my own cup up.

No matter if I'm active on here or not, if you ever have any questions regarding your own fitness journey, need support, want to attend one of my classes or just need someone to talk to, I'm just a message away 🀝 I may not reply instantly but I will get back to you asap πŸ˜…

Also, just a quick note on this photo πŸ‘† this journey isn't easy no matter how many years down the line you get! But I can hands down say this is probably the best I've felt in my skin for a long time and the fact I'm out here wearing shorts not really giving a πŸ’© what my legs look like (my biggest insecurity) is one heck of a win πŸ‘ so don't give up on yourself or your goals!

YOU'VE GOT THIS πŸ‘ŠπŸ€

Walk in there like a BADASS & own it πŸ‘Š

Absolutely no shade to men, just a lot of women find a gym full of men, other women & teenagers intimidating and all I'm trying to do is encourage women to not feel this way!

Every single person wanting to be in the gym deserves to feel comfortable in this space and able to work towards their goals without being judged πŸ”₯

And yes, this is a story repost but I think this message deserves a main feed spot and quite frankly I don't take enough photos that fits the topic so here we are 🀣✌️

Please stop telling yourself off for what you did over the weekend. It's done.
You had fun. That's what life is about!!
Don't think 'let's start again'.
Instead, you're just continuing on your journey but making better choices for the week ahead.

This journey isn't linear. It's a flipping rollercoaster 🎒
But one thing is for sure, life is for living... SO LIVE IT πŸ’―

Switching off is needed every now and then πŸ“΄

Last week, the team & I packed our bags and went away on our annual Center Parcs trip πŸ‚πŸš΄
We cycled, we played archery, swam nearly every day (anyone that's been to Center Parcs knows its just all about the rapids 🌊), ate overly priced pancakes πŸ₯ž, spent an evening at the spa, but most of all, we took time to just recharge our batteries and live life!

My phone was switched off for over a day, the signal was next to none and the WiFi was touch & go! I didn't put pressure on myself to exercise, I ate whatever the hell I wanted, had a few Tequilas 😏And it was absolute BLISS πŸ‘Œ

In life we get so consumed and caught up with the craziness of everyday, the pressures we all face and the overwhelm of trying to do it all.

Remember, life is for LIVING! It's going so darn fast so don't let it pass you by without fully experiencing it. Something I know I have to keep reminding myself daily πŸ’₯

Not one for all the 'New Year New Me' BS if I'm honest and that's why I haven't jumped on the bandwagon and left it a few weeks into the year to post.
The pressure, the expectations. Not just what we see plastered on our socials but what we put on ourselves can feel immense and instead of being a driver, it does the opposite.

Instead, I try and see it as a new year full of opportunities that I have ALL YEAR to work towards.

Remember, work that you put in now, will be visible by the end of the year, not by February!!

So be realistic. Slow things down. Don't take the foot of the pedal but just be a bit more kinder and understanding that not everything has to be done right now.

One small change, implementing something new, over time builds up and makes mass change.
Then when that doesn't feel as big anymore, introduce something new. And repeat.
