🩸 12 months of giving back — and making a real difference!

The Masters Swimming Queensland Lifeblood Team has reached an exciting milestone, with Queensland members continuing to make a strong impact through blood and plasma donations in the first half of 2026.

From January to June 2026, our team recorded:

🩸 16 whole blood donations
💛 74 plasma donations
❤️ An estimated 270 lives supported through the national Lifeblood system

Now 40 members strong, the MSQ Lifeblood Team includes generous donors from the Hervey Bay Humpbacks, North Mackay Sinkers, Long Tan Legends and the MSQ Branch.

A huge thank you to every member who has rolled up their sleeve and contributed over the past 12 months. Your generosity reflects the values of service, wellbeing and community impact that make Masters Swimming Queensland so special.

Thanks Brisbane Southside for a great meet on Saturday. We’re incredibly proud of everyone’s results, but a special mention goes to Bob, Trevor, Faye and Brandon for bringing home some bling! Congratulations!!!

We were very fortunate to have Natasha join us at Sunday’s training session. There was plenty of laughter trying out some new drills, and it was a nice reminder just how much fun we can have in the pool while developing our skills.

Thank you Natasha and MSQ Masters Swimming Queensland for the incredible support, it’s greatly appreciated!

It was an honour to attend the Community Bank Victoria Point Community Impact Night last night. It was inspiring to hear about all the organisations doing amazing things across the Redlands and Bayside areas.
Bendigo Bank invest so much back into the community, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support and generosity this year.

On Saturday, our team enjoyed a great day at the Toowoomba meet, with 7 swimmers placing in the top 3 for their age groups.
