A few pics of current slabs available. Nothing too wide at the moment. Many small to medium craft slabs.

Our most common question is where do I get the logs from.
Mike runs Grandview gardens and helps supply logs for the mill. They recently purchased a new Merlo which can remove large trees easily and quickly. Covering most of the west suburbs of brisbane, if you need consulting, trimming, tree removal etc then he is your go to. He helped us submit a permit and remove 2 dangerous dead trees a few years ago aswell.

Spent a little bit if time this morning cutting up a Liquid Amber log.
This will likely colour up a bit but you can see the amazing grain pattern it will have.
Should be available in around 2-2.5 years

We were asked a while ago when our next resin course was. Our last one was a few years ago and we have been a bit busy since. We decided to run a small casual course for Mel and friends. Was a good time for all of us and looks like some nice boards will come out of it.
Spotted gum used for the timber.

This was a Christmas present we created for Family members. One slab of Silky oak cut into pieces. Multiple metallic coloured resins all poured as one to create matched serving platters. Laser engraved personal images and finished in UV setting Satin Hardwax Oil.

Our 2 young girls have been itching to make resin boards to sell for christmas.

Natalie (8) has made a redgum resin board (1).
Gracie (5) has made a Sheoak resin board (2).

The girls have helped prep the slabs, setup for resin, picked colours. They then mixed and poured the resin themselves. They demolded and assisted with the finishing. I did the cutting and more dangerous parts.

Each has a laser engraved logo for girl.
Finished in satin LED cure hard wax oil.

Let us know if your after 1. These are the only 2 we are doing this christmas to sell.

9 years ago I built my first bandsaw mill after chainsaw milling for a while. It showed good potential but got dismantled when we moved house. After a while I bought the current mill and did a lot of major upgrades to make it run as it should. Have owned it a while now and still going strong.

The wife likes to keep me busy (with ridiculously short notice).... another farewell gift.

White Cedar slab - wife sanded on the weekend and created the design, today I did the hard work of applying the design and finishing the board.
