With the market rapidly evolving, 4X4 Australia tested 12 leading utes in late 2025 using strict criteria:

Testing was conducted at Lerderderg State Park (VIC) and included off-road courses, mixed-surface driving and towing tests under controlled, repeatable conditions. Vehicles were assessed both in standard form and at maximum capability.
