Awesome Pawsome Flyball Racing

Sunday had us competing at Airborne’s Runway Rush. Thank you to All Paws Airborne 🏅 and all the officials for a great day of racing.

We may not have come home with 1st but we sure had a lot of things to celebrate!

Congratulations:
- Cadbury for gaining her first title on debut. Spicy dog is on the board!
- Elsie for gaining her Flyball Dog & Flyball Dog Excellent in her second comp. Your hard work has paid off Sarah!
- Mishka for finally getting her Australian Flyball Champion title. It has been a tough slog for Dana and Mishka, but this comp Mishka ran her heart out and did her mum proud!
- PBs for Bandit & Nola 💨
- Well done to Venus, who made her triumphant return after many months of building her confidence back.
- Harper and Marlee have got this flyball stuff in the bag. Clean runs and great box turns. Perseverance pays off!

Saturday our training crew are hitting the lanes at the Wacol RSPCA at the hosted training day. Thank you for the opportunity!

Saturday saw our beginner dogs strutting their stuff in the racing environment and gaining some valuable exposure.
Sunday we competed at Bayside’s Bayside Goes Undercover competition. Thank you to all who were involved in organising the event and to all the officials for your time and effort.

Paws of Chaos were off to a whirlwind start, winning their first 3 races for Kolby’s final race meet. Unfortunately, we blitzed through the next race doing a major breakout time! Whoops! We are sad to see Kolby, Pauline and Rob retire from flyball but hope to see them around. Best time 24.317 with 74% clean heats.

Paws of Power came out guns a blazing and did a major break out in their very first heat. Oh dear. Unfortunately this team then struggled to run clean for the rest of the day, one could say the wheels fell off! We welcomed back Xena after a few months and it was really great to see Venus race again. Best time 23.401.

Paws of Fire came home with 1st place in Div 2 winning 4/6 races and running clean 73% of the time. This team worked really well together and was really lovely to watch. Congratulations to Storm on your PB time. Best time 19.522

Paws of Lightning came 1st in Div 1 on a count back after some tight racing. Winning 4/6 races with 78% clean heats. Best time of 17.4

Tomorrow we say farewell to Kolby in the racing lanes after he competes in his very last race meet. Kolby has been a wonderful addition to our club. He may not be the fastest dog, he averages 9 seconds, but he certainly is one of our most reliable dogs. We will miss him dearly. We wish Kolby a wonderful long retirement he’s earned it!
